      BARBARA HORN, 65, of Traverse City, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at the French Manor in Traverse City.
      Arrangements will be announced by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.
     
     
      BONNIE WELEMIROV, 47, of Grayling, died Monday, April 17, 2000, in Grayling. A homemaker, she was born March 27, 1953 in Garden City, Mich.
      Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Sorenson Funeral Home, McEvers Chapel in Grayling with funeral services immediately following at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Beaver Creek Cemetery.
      Cathy L. DeBlaay
      Died April 18, 2000
      BELMONT - Cathy L. DeBlaay, 45, of Belmont, passed away unexpectedly Thursday.
      Cathy was the former owner of Willies Rear. She had been a resident of Traverse City for 17 years. She was energetic and touched the hearts of everyone she met.
      She is survived by her husband of eight years, John "Jake" DeBlaay; daughter, Jessica L. Mulvey; father, Richard Schafer; and a brother, Scott Schafer.
      She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanne Schafer of Rockford.
      Relatives and friends may meet with her family from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave., NE at 3 mile Road in Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
      For those who wish, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
     
      Gerald D. Garland
      Died April 18, 2000
      TRAVERSE CITY - Gerald D. Garland, 68, a lifelong resident of Traverse City, died April 18, 2000, at the Munson Medical Center.
      Mr. Garland was born on Old Mission Peninsula on October 28, 1931, the son of Frank and Anna (Sill) Garland.
      Gerald is survived by his sister, Ruth M. Garland of Traverse City; two brothers, Frank (Janet) Garland of Birmingham, Mich., and Howard (Virginia) Garland of Lapeer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
      He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Garland.
      Celebration of Life services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes with the Rev. Donald V. Engebretson officiating.
      Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
      Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
      Memorials may be made to the Great Lakes Community Mental Health or Trinity Lutheran Church.

      Richard 'Ricky' E.C. Glezman
      Died April 18, 2000
      MESICK - Richard "Ricky" E.C. Glezman, 17, of Mesick, died Tuesday as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
      Born Dec. 13, 1982, in Traverse City, he was a student of Mesick High School.
      A talented woodworker, he loved sports, especially football, wrestling, basketball and weight lifting. He enjoyed deer hunting, 4-wheeling and snowmobiling and for the past two months worked at the Grand Traverse Mall selling subscriptions to the Record-Eagle.
      He is survived by his parents, Richard E. and Renee L. (Baker) Glezman of Mesick; two sisters, Natasha and Chant‚ Glezman; two brothers, Levi and Garrett Glezman - all of Mesick; maternal grandparents, Sally A. Stauffer of Grawn and Harold and Judy Baker of Coldwater; paternal grandmother, Diane Glezman of Charlevoix; paternal great-grandmother, Mary Glezman of Gaylord; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
      He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Glezman, in 1999.
      Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 21, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
      Memorial contributions may be directed to the Ricky Glezman Memorial Fund in care of his parents.

      Perry R. McPherson
      Died April 17, 2000
      TRAVERSE CITY - Perry R. McPherson, 84, of Traverse City, died Monday at Munson Medical Center.
      Born Nov. 16, 1915, in Bellaire, he was the son of Hiram and Ena (Hosler) McPherson.
      On May 30, 1946, in East Jordan, he married Margaret V. Sheridan.
      Perry served with the U.S. Army Air Force in World War II and was discharged as a sergeant. A resident of Traverse City since 1946, he had retired from Central States Building Movers. Perry was a life member of Cherryland Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2780. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and bowling. He also liked listening to and watching baseball.
      Survivors include his wife, Margaret; children, Perry McPherson Jr., Nita Finch, Pat Schlagel, and Shirley Isenhauer - all of Traverse City, and Paul McPherson of Ortonville; brothers, Jim McPherson of Spartanburg, S.C., Lenwood Prentice of Grawn, and Paul Rozelle of Oregon; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
      Perry was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Roy, in 1972, a grandson, Eric Vaughn, in 1978, four brothers and four sisters.
      Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.
      Cremation will take place following services.
      Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.

      Larry James Nessen
      Died April 18, 2000
      STANTON - Larry James Nessen, age 56, passed away Tuesday in Traverse City.
      He was born March 8, 1944, in Petoskey, to Henry and Ida M. (Howard) Nessen. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mona (Griffen) Nessen, whom he has happily lived with in Stanton.
      Also surviving is his son, Jeremy James Nessen, and his daughter, Deborah Elaine Nessen - both of Stanton; his parents, Henry and Ida Nessen of Petoskey; one brother, Ron Nessen of Petoskey; and one sister, Pat Sumner also of Petoskey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.
      As a member of the Cedar Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church, he was kind and helpful to everyone and loved by all. After receiving his honorable discharge from the United States Army, Mr. Nessen finished his education at Lake Superior State University and began his career as a senior technician with Consumers Power Company, where he worked for 30 years. He loved his family and he loved the Lord. He now awaits the soon coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Cedar Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church. Graveside services will follow at Cedar Lake Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Stebbins-McCullough Chapel in Edmore. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Cedar Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church Honduras Mission Trip Fund.
