Virginia S. Georgeoff Cook, 77, of Eastport, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at her home in Eastport.
      Arrangements are pending at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.
     
      THELMA SOLEM DEERING, 90, of Traverse City, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, in Northport.
      Arrangements will be announced by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.
     
      RONALD EUGENE DUNBLAZIER, 51, of Wellston, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at West Shore Medical Center in Manistee. He was born Oct. 7, 1949, in Michigan.
      Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Terwilliger Funeral Home in Kaleva. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Eden Township Cemetery.
     
      Robert R. Odom, 61, of Traverse City, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at his home.
      Arrangements are pending at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.
     
      LARRY MOTT, 29, of Mancelona, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
      The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in Mancelona. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
     
      Roger Alexander Calsibet
      Died November 14, 2000
      DAVIDSON, N.C. - Roger Alexander Calsibet, 82, of The Pines, Davidson, N.C., died at home Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000.
      Roger was born May 24, 1918, in Newark, NJ, the only child of Charles Calascibetta and Rose Payne MacLagan Calsibet.
      Mr. Calsibet retired from Union Carbide Corporation in 1978 after 36 years in sales and marketing management. During World War II, he served as an officer in the U.S. Navy on the USS Register in the Pacific. Mr. Calsibet graduated with an AB degree in chemistry from Princeton University in 1940. After retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Calsibet made their home in Interlochen, Mich. and Juno Beach, Fla., before coming to reside in Davidson.
      Roger Calsibet, a loving husband, father and grandfather, was a kind and learned man, who believed in and worked for peace, civil rights and social justice.
      Mr. Calsibet is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Harris Calsibet; daughters and sons-in-law, Jill and Luigi Persichetti of Houston, Texas, Lynn and David Troutman of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Barbara and Peter Hess of Davidson and Carol and Stephen Drosdeck of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; and seven grandsons, Michael and Benjamin Troutman, Daniel Persichetti, Jamie and Joey Hess and Tyler and Devon Drosdeck.
      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the public radio station WIAA, P.O. Box 199, Interlochen, MI 49643 or to Class of 1940 Memorial Scholarship, Office of the Recording Secretary, Box 5357, Princeton University, Princeton, NJ 08543-5357.
      David John DiPonio
      Died December 1, 2000
      UNION LAKE - David John DiPonio, of Union Lake, died Friday at the age of 51.
      Beloved father of Maria and Gina DiPonio; dear son of Mary and the late John DiPonio; brother of Daniel and Michael DiPonio. Mr. DiPonio will be greatly missed by all his immediate and extended family members.
      A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake.
      Memorial contributions may be directed to the Henry Ford Hospice-Plymouth. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
     
      Eva T. Snyder
      Died November 30, 2000
      TRAVERSE CITY - Eva T. Snyder, 87, of Traverse City, died Thursday at Durand Convelesent Center in Durand, Mich.
      Eva was born on Jan. 23, 1913 in St. Annes, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of Peter and Anna Toews. On March 15, 1943, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she married Harold G. Snyder.
      A registered nurse, Eva was a 1935 graduate of the Brandon School of Nursing and did her training at Winnipeg General Hospital in Winnipeg. She was a public health nurse in northern Alberta, Canada, and then enlisted in the Canadian Army Nurses Corps during World War II. She met her husband Harold who was with the U.S. Army in London and returned to the states following the war. They were residents of Massachusetts and then residents of Manistique in the upper peninsula until moving to Traverse City in 1954. In Traverse City, she was a public health nurse with the Tri-County Health Dept. for many years and taught nursing at NMC and the Osteopathic Hospital. She was a founding member of the Presbyterian Church and volunteered with the Red Cross for many years.
      Eva is survived by three children, Sandra (Thomas) Sheridan of Owosso, Doug (Maxine) Snyder of Jenison and Richard E. Snyder of San Francisco, Calif.; two grandchildren, Lauren Snyder and Bryan Snyder - both of Jenison; and several nieces and nephews.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold on Jan. 15, 1982 and one brother.
      Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at The Presbyterian Church with Dr. Homer Nye officiating.
