She was born Jan. 6, 1922, in Manistee.Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee; an evening prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Manistee. EDNA L. NEUMAN, 97, of Traverse City, died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Arrangements will be announced by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. PATRICIA ANNE STEELE, 65, of Manistee, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at her residence. She was born March 27, 1935, in Royal Oak. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. today at the First Church of Wellston in Wellston. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christian Memorial Cultural Center in Rochester Hills. Arrangements are by Terwilliger Funeral Home in Kaleva. Murray M. Borck Sr. Died May 14, 2000 BANKS TOWNSHIP - Murray M. Borck Sr., 78, died Sunday at his home in Banks Township, Antrim County. He was born Oct. 31, 1921, in Detroit, the son of Arthur and Anna (Mitchell) Borck. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee in Pearl Harbor. On June 21, 1952, he married Betty Lou Williams in Detroit where they made their home. They moved to Banks Township in 1989. Murray was employed as a salesman for MIPSCO in Wyandotte; he retired in 1980. He was a member of Belltower Reformed Church. He loved barbershop music and belonged to the Barbershop Harmony Society in Lansing. He sang locally with the Charlevoix Windjammers Barbershop Quartet. Survivors include his wife, Betty; children, Patty (Frank) Eaton of Monroe, N.C., Barbara (Lee) Richards of Tampa, Fla., Lori Borck of Flint, Murray (Carol) Borck Jr. of Rochester Hills, Karen Haigh of Pinckney, Mich., Kathy Johnson of Bellaire, and David Borck of Bellaire; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marcia Borck. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hastings Funeral Home in Ellsworth. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Belltower Reformed Church; the Rev. Tom Welscott will officiate. Burial will be in Atwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Charlevoix Windjammers Barbershop Quartet. |
