GEORGE 'PUCKY' GRIFFORE, 70, of Mancelona, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, in Mancelona.
      The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., in Mancelona, where a rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
     
      ALVIN L. NESKY, 78, of Traverse City, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at home.
      Arrangements are pending at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.
     
      MARGARET K. SIETING, 97, of Kalkaska, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at Kalkaska Memorial Center. A retired school teacher, she was born Aug. 31, 1903.
      Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
     
      Edith I. Marsh
      Died October 31, 2000
      NORTHPORT - Edith I. Marsh, 91, of Northport, died Tuesday at Leelanau Memorial Health Center.
      Born April 24, 1909, in Bendon, she was the daughter of Archibald and Bessie (McQuaid) Clou. In September 1927, in South Bend, Ind., she married Harold Marsh, who preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 1989.
      A homemaker, Edith was a member of the Tourist Club of Eustis, Fla.
      Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Gahagen of Mt. Dora, Fla. and Bessie (Allan) Larson of Newberry; two sons, Norman Marsh of Knox, Ind. and Royden Marsh of Dearborn; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Etha Marsh, Eileen Bye and Maude Meade.
      She was preceded in death by a brother, Farquar Clou.
      Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Interlochen. Burial will be at Inland Township Cemetery.
      Arrangements are being handled by Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay.
      Verna Lois Wells
      Died October 31, 2000
      NORTHPORT - Verna Lois Wells, 72, of Northport, died Tuesday at home.
      Born Oct. 4, 1928, in Flint, she was the daughter of Edwin J. and Verna T. (Taber) Nelson. On April 26, 1947, in Pontiac, she married Robert V. Wells.
      Verna has lived in Northport since 1989 coming from Waterford Township, where she was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Pontiac High School and recently attended her high school band reunion where she played the saxophone. She enjoyed knitting and needlecraft.
      Verna is survived by her husband, Robert; sons, Peter (Cindy) Wells of New Albany, Ind. and Michael E. Wells of St. Petersburg, Fla.; daughters, Janet Eshleman of Suttons Bay, Cathy (David) Kelly-Dentry of Highland and Margaret (Randy) Hamilton of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; former son-in-law, Michael Kelly; stepmother, Harriet Nelson of Largo, Fla.; stepsister, Shirley of Largo, Fla.; grandchildren, Lisa (Jeff) Hanson of Lake Orion, Dawn (Jason) Price of Chicago, Ill., Christopher (Tammy) McMillan of New Albany, Ind., Courtney Eshleman of Suttons Bay, Kristopher, Bridget, Douglas Kelly and Nicholas Dentry - all of Highland, Bradley Wells of Ind.; Mary, Susie, Kimberly and Michelle Hamilton - all of Fort Wayne, Ind.; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Collin, and Patrick Hanson of Lake Orion and Samantha Brook McMillan of New Albany, Ind.; special grandmother of exchange students, Natalie Ahmann of Dortmund, Germany and Antonia Salzal of Karlstadt, Germany.
      She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Ronald C. Eshleman.
      Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Leelanau Township Cemetery.
      In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Munson Hospice, Munson Pediatric Department or the Northport Library.
