The son of Corey Thomas and Roxanne Boetefuer, he was born Aug. 13, 2000, in Traverse City.Visitation will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska. WILLIAM L. FILE, 56, of Grayling, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. A retired electronic systems engineer with the armed forces, he was born Sept. 24, 1944, in Grayling. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are by Sorenson Funeral Home, McEvers Chapel in Grayling. IDA MAY JACH, 92, of Manistee, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at Manistee County Medical Care Facility. Visitation will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Manistee where a Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Arrangements are by Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee. VIRGINIA MARY (WOOD) LUBIG, 81, of Maple City, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at Botsford Community Living Center. A full obituary will appear in the Nov. 15 Record-Eagle. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Empire. Arrangements are by Martinson Funeral Home in Suttons Bay. AGNES MARIE WASAGSHIK AGOSA MONTAGUE, 74, of West Bend, Wis., died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. A full obituary will appear in the Wednesday Record-Eagle. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church in Peshawbestown. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Lovina Bagnel Died November 5, 2000 TRAVERSE CITY - On Sunday, Nov. 5th, Lovina Bagnel, age 108, took the Lord's hand on her peaceful walk home to join her beloved husband, Elmer, her daughter, Helen Kosar, and her two grandsons, Harold Laird and Dennis Kosar. Lovina was born in Traverse City in 1892 to Cyprian and Margaret Sieger. She met and married Elmer Bagnel on May 2, 1912. Lovina was a loving wife and mother. She had a busy and active life helping her husband, Elmer, in his quest to make a happy and fruitful life for his family. Elmer and Lovina were married for 58 years before the Lord called Elmer home in 1970. Lovina is survived by her two daughters, Thelma Canfield and Eunice (Vern) Groesser - both of Traverse City; six grandchildren, Frank Kosar of Califonia, Harold (Carol) Canfield and Helen Wisniewski - both of Traverse City, Margaret (Bill) Rackow of Buckley, Arthur (Janet) Canfield of Traverse City, and Elaine (Joe) Flees of Grawn; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Lovina will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Traverse City. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Father Fred Foundation. Audrey H. Byers Died November 5, 2000 KALKASKA - Audrey H. Byers, 98, a resident of Kalkaska since 1982, died Sunday at her home. Mrs. Byers was born in Monticello, Ind., on Oct. 15, 1902, the daughter of John W. and Carrie (Hanaway) Sparks. She was married to Ray Wang in Chicago on Aug. 15, 1927. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1980. In 1981 she was united in marriage with Ralph Byers who died Feb. 21, 1990. Surviving are a stepson, Edward Wang of Hammond, Ind.; a stepson and nephew, Robert Byers and his wife, Marilyn, of Royal Oak; a stepdaughter and niece, Elizabeth Byers of St. Louise, Mo.; a sister, Doris Bertalan of Waterville, Minn.; four nieces; two nephews; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. On stepson, Raymond Wang; a stepdaughter, Marie Wang; a brother; and four sisters preceded her in death. Friends may call at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Robert Stark officiating. Additional visitation and services will be at the Virgil Huber Funeral Home in Hammond, Ind. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, Ind. Edmond Lessard Died November 5, 2000 TRAVERSE CITY - Edmond Lessard, 94, of Traverse City, died peacefully Sunday at Grand Traverse Pavilions. Born June 6, 1906, in Quebec, Canada, the son of Clotaire and Sylvie (Morin) Lessard, he was the youngest of twelve. In September 1931 he married Antoinette Vincent, who survives. He is also survived by a son, Ron (Pat) Lessard, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lillian. Ed was an avid Detroit Tigers and Lions fan and he also enjoyed watching adult slo-pitch action. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. A memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Father Fred Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes. Brian L. Wallington Died October 26, 2000 OCALA, Fla. - Brian L. Wallington, 47, of Ocala, formerly of Kalkaska, Mich., died Thursday in Florida. Born Dec. 7, 1952, in Detroit, he was the son of the late Wallace Wallington and Laura (Moran) Wallington. In August 2000 he married Marguerite "Maggie" Wallington. Brian was employed as an autmobile mechanic in Kalkaska for 25 years. He then moved to Ocala where he was also employed as an auto mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and water sports. He is survived by his wife, Maggie; his mother, Laura; a son, Brian II; one sister; Maureen Scane; and two brothers, Wallace and Dan. He was preceded in death by his father. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service was held in Ocala. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to Hospice in Marion County, P.O. Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478. William Walter Wood Jr. Died November 5, 2000 LAKE LEELANAU - William Walter Wood Jr., 57, of Lake Leelanau, died Sunday at Leelanau Memorial Health Center. Born Feb. 2, 1943, in Detroit, he was the son of William Walter and Helen May (Workman) Wood. On Feb. 1, 1964, at St. Barbara's Church in Dearborn, he married Harriet A. Lewinski who survives. A supplier performance analyst, William retired from Ford Motor Company after serving for 33 years in the NAAO division. He moved to Lake Leelanau from Canton, Mich., in 1996. William was a good husband, father and grandfather. Survivors also include a son, Christopher A. (Tina) Wood; a daughter, Lisa M. (Stephen) (Wood) Ringe; a sister, Nancy J. Fuerstenberg; and four grandchildren, Cory E. Wood, Christina Wood, Jacob Ringe, and Lucas Ringe. William was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Martinson Funeral Home in Suttons Bay. |
