Obituaries

JACK N. HERAUF, 71, of Kalkaska, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born June 28, 1929, in Milwaukee, Wis.
      Visitation will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska, Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska.
     
      Agnes Marie Wasagshik Agosa Montague
      Died November 4, 2000
      WEST BEND, Wis. - Agnes Marie Wasagshik Agosa Montague, 74, of West Bend, died Saturday at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Mich.
      She was born Dec. 20, 1925, in Peshawbestown, Mich., the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Prickett) Wasagshik.
      Agnes was a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. She enjoyed bingo, gambling and crafts. Agnes truly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
      Surviving are her daughter, Sharon (Delbert) Schneider of West Bend, Ind., three nephews, a niece, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
      Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Agosa, in 1955; by her second husband, William Montague, in 1967; her son, Alex Jr., in 1964; a great-grandson, Jay Tackes; and a sister, Geroldine Oligney.
      Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church in Peshabestown.
      A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the church; the Rev. Andrew Buvala will serve as celebrant.
      Burial will be in Kateri Tekakwitha Cemetery.
      Arrangements are by Martinson Funeral Home in Suttons Bay.
      Beverly Jean Webb
      Died November 4, 2000
      SOUTH BOARDMAN - In loving memory of Beverly Jean Webb, 67, of South Boardman, who went to be with her Lord on Saturday at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
      She was born in Kalkaska County on Dec. 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Leo Birgy and Elsie Haskin.
      On Oct. 1, 1950, in South Boardman, she was united in marriage with Floyd Webb. On Sept. 30, 2000, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends.
      Mrs. Webb was a volunteer and also headed the Red Cross for Kalkaska County for 30 years. She enjoyed making needlepoint quilts for all her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking and collecting - especially unique and various giraffes. She was a member of the Kalkaska Church of Christ. She is greatly loved by her family and will be sadly missed.
      She is survived by her husband, Floyd, of South Boardman; three sons, Steven (Laurie) Webb and Randall (Patricia) Webb - both of Fife Lake, and James (Kyle) Webb of South Boardman; a daughter, Kelly (Dave) Stein of Kalkaska; five brothers, Gerald (Lillian) Birgy, Michael (Margaret) Birgy, and Leo (Bertha) Birgy- all of Fife Lake, John (Ruth) Birgy of Crossville, Tenn., and Alan (Kay) Birgy of Charlotte; a sister, Sharon (Charles) Melchert of Manistee; seven grandchildren, Doug Webb of Kingsley, Steven Webb, Holly (Daniel) Larr, and William Webb - all of Fife Lake, Amy (Scott) Reeves, and Christina and Danielle Stein - all of Kalkaska; and five great-grandchildren, Rhonda and Cynthia Webb, Gwendolyn and Autumn Larr, and Landen Webb.
      Visitation took place Monday at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the funeral home with Dan Johnson officiating. Graveside services were held at Boardman Township Cemetery.
