Obituaries

EDITH L. HOOK, of Beulah, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at The Homesteader in Benzonia.
      Arrangements are being handled by The Bennett-Barz Funeral Home of Beulah.
      LEONA RITA STOCKMAN, 81, of Cadillac and formerly of Traverse City, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000.
      No services are planned. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes.
      Lynette Marie Columbus
      Died November 29, 2000
      TRAVERSE CITY-Lynette Marie Columbus, 40, of Dearborn and formerly of Traverse City, died suddenly on Wednesday, at Munson Medical Center.
      Lynette was born March 2, 1960 in Dearborn.
      Lynette loved small animals and enjoyed cooking. She was a caring person who enjoyed helping others.
      Lynette is survived by her father Leonard (Susan) Columbus of Dearborn; her mother Patricia (Kevin) Grignon of Allen Park; sisters Kimberly (Rodney) Torson of Dearborn Heights and Susan (Dan) Pelessier of Allen Park; her brother Leonard (Tina) Columbus of Lincoln Park; her paternal grandmother Evelyn Columbus of Clearwater, Fla.; and uncle Gary (Margie) Columbus of Traverse City; aunts Barbara Hynes and Nancy Columbus, both of Dallas, Texas; and many cousins.
      Memorial services will be held at a later date in Dearborn.
      Memorials may be made to the Cherryland Humane Society.
      The family was served by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral home in Traverse City.
     
      D. Alice Waddington
      Died November 27, 2000
      TRAVERSE CITY - D. Alice Waddington, 60, of Traverse City, died Monday.
      Alice was born March 11, 1940, in Yuma, Colo. She was an undergraduate of Wheaton College and a graduate of Michigan State University. Her memberships included The Presbyterian Church in Traverse City, PEO Sisterhood and the Michigan State University Alumni Association.
      She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Wayne Waddington of Englewood, Fla.; a daughter, Anne Cork of Royal Oak, Mich.; and a son, John Waddington of Winter Park, Fla.
      Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at The Presbyterian Church in Traverse City.
