Johnson, died Friday, Oct. 6, at Wamego City Hospital after a short illness.Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego, Kan. Funeral services for ALVERA MARIE LESERT, 62, of Kent City, formerly of Copemish, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Hessel-Chesick Funeral Home in Sparta. Graveside interment services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cleon Cemetery in Copemish. Friends may meet the family from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial services for ORVILLE E. RICHARDSON will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at 2 p.m. at the American Legion Post No. 219 in Fife Lake. The post is located on Rt. 188, 1/2 mile west of Rt. 131. Orville passed away on Oct. 17, 2000, in Three Rivers. Howard E. 'Gene' Martin Died October 14, 2000 JASPER, Ala. - Howard E. "Gene" Martin, 68, of Jasper, Ala., formerly of Kingsley, Mich. and Alaska, died Saturday, Oct. 14, at Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper, Ala. Born March 23, 1932, in Byron, Mich., he was the son of Howard and Mildred (Jaquish) Martin. On Aug. 7, 1982, in Kingsley, he married the former Donna M. Lewis. A self-employed carpenter, Gene worked for Alaska Enchanted Lake Fishing Lodge for 13 years while residing in Alaska. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Donna M. Martin of Jasper, Ala.; five children; one step-daughter, Dawn (Scott) Willman of Kingsley; three step-grandchildren, Alan, Michael and Victoria Willman; one brother; two sisters; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-father. A Celebration of Life service will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Summit City Grange with Pastor Kelly Todd officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Johannes Lutheran Church, 7861 Summit City Road, Kingsley, MI 49649. Sierra Rose Richard Stillborn October 27, 2000 COVINGTON, La. - Sierra Rose Richard, daughter of Jason Richard of Traverse City, Mich. and Patricia Taylor of Slidell, La., was stillborn Friday from undetermined causes at Columbia Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, La. She is survived by her parents; a brother, Timothy Michael Taylor; grandparents, Mary Braswell, William N. Taylor and Rosemary Sue Richard; and many aunts and uncles. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a graveside service at 1 p.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Hwy. 190, West Slidell, La. The family is being served by the Schoen Funeral Home of Slidell, La. Dorothy G. Weaver Died October 27, 2000 MADISON HEIGHTS - Dorothy G. Weaver, 83, of Madison Heights, formerly of Fife Lake, died Friday. Born Sept. 4, 1917, in Fife Lake, she was the daughter of Francis and Ethel (Bigham) Creiver. In 1930 she married Sidney Weaver, who preceded her in death. Dorothy retired from Foam-Made Industrials in Royal Oak after many years of service. She was a former president of the Hazel Park Eagles Women's Auxiliary and she enjoyed sewing. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn (Donald) Myers of Madison Heights and JameyAnn (Lee) Walch of Warren; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Zelda (George) Smith of Fife Lake. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Yvonne and two brothers, Mancel and Donald. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Covell-Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley, where a rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Aloyisius Catholic Church in Fife Lake with Rev. James Holtz serving as celebrant. Interment will be at St. Aloyisius Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society. Michael Edwin 'Chingo' Wildfong Died October 25, 2000 FORT MEYERS, Fla. - Michael Edwin "Chingo" Wildfong, of Fort Meyers, Fla., died Wednesday. Born Jan. 21, 1953, in Greenbay, Wis., he was the beloved son of Edwin J. Wildfong of Saginaw, Mich. and Loula M. Wildfong of Traverse City, Mich. Mike had many artistic talents and loved motorcycles and cars. He was a friend to all he met. Mike was loved by all of his family and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his parents; three sons, Michael E. Wildfong, Jr. and Brandon Wildfong - both of Naples, Fla. and Adam Leppert of Saginaw, Mich.; one daughter, Jessica, of Naples, Fla.; two granddaughters; and three grandsons. He is also survived by two sisters, Sharron (Terry) Crimi of Traverse City, Mich. and Terrie (Buddy) Federmeyer of Las Vegas, Nev.; four brothers, Robert (Beth) of Traverse City, Mich., Ronald L. of Fort Meyers, Fla., Richard (Alice) of Bay City, Mich. and Dave (Lori) of Traverse City, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in his honor at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
