TRAVERSE CITY - Cheryl M. Foss, 54, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2001.
Born Feb. 9, 1947, she was the daughter of Frederick and Jean (Rang) Kark. On July 25, 1970, she married her best friend, Eric N. Foss of New Haven, who preceded her in death by many years.
Cheryl moved to Lewiston with her young son, Erin in 1975, where she lived for 19 years. She lovingly raised her son and was a very independent woman. In 1994, after her son's high school graduation, Cheryl moved to Traverse City; was employed by Sam's Club; enjoyed condo living and being on her own. Cheryl was very crafty and had a knack for home improvement. She was known to tear down drywall and put up new before anyone showed up to help. If her home didn't have a home improvement project needing to be done, she would fine one near by at a friends or family's home. She took many trips and had wonderful new experiences in the last few years of her life. Cheryl was dearly loved by her friends and family. She gave 100% of herself to those she loved; she adored her son and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on through all of those she touched.
Cheryl is survived by her son, Erin E. Foss of Grand Rapids; mother, Jean (Rang) Kark of Lewiston; brother, Fred Kark of Lewiston; sisters, Jeannie Kark of Lewiston, and Deahn (Kark) Hagelee of Dafter; special nieces; nephews, and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eric N. Foss; father, Frederick L. Kark; father-in-law, Stanley Foss; grandparents; and other special relatives, whom she is at peace with now.
