December 5, 2001ObituariesMolly M. PowersDied November 30, 2001 BLUFFTON, S.C. - Molly M. Powers, 87, of Bluffton, S.C., formerly of Traverse City, died on Friday at home. Molly is survived by her son, Curt; stepsons, Mike, Ken and Jeff Powers; sisters, Joan (Jim) Steele, Elene Hayes, Alice Clarke and Jessie (Georgine) Campbell; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Molly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son; three brothers; and one sister. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 1 p.m. at the South Lyon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Island Funeral Home. ROBERT WILLIS DERRY, 59, of Grayling, passed away on Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at his home. Visitation and a private family viewing have already taken place. No other services are planned at this time. Arrangements were handled by Sorenson Funeral Home, McEvers Chapel, in Grayling. MARGUERITE "MARGE" EDITH JOUPPI, 87, of Bear Lake, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at her residence. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Terwilliger Funeral Home, in Kaleva, with Rev. Kenneth H. Lein officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Township Cemetery. HAROLD L. KENT, 74, of Bellaire, formerly of Chestonia, passed away on Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at the Charlevoix Area Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the time of the services on Thursday. ARTHUR L. WILLIAMS, 91, of Roscommon, passed away on Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Hilltop Manor Nursing Home in Roscommon. No services or visitation are planned at this time. Arrangements are being handled by Sorenson Funeral Home in Grayling. |
