December 10, 2001ObituariesHOUGHTON LAKE - Phillip G. Wills, 57, of Houghton Lake, formerly of Traverse City, died Saturday at home.He was born on Sept. 19, 1944, in Detroit, the son of John Anthony and Buelah E. (Love) Wills. On Nov. 5, 1994, in Tennessee, he married Mary. Phillip lived in the Houghton Lake area for over 20 years. He received two masters degrees from Central Michigan University. He was a counselor at the Career Tech Center, retiring in 1999. Phillip was a member of Knights of Columbus in Traverse City. He is survived by his wife Mary Wills of Houghton Lake; four sons, Phillip Wills II of Texas, Paul Wills of Ferndale, Marc Wills of Houghton Lake and Tony Wills of New York; three daughters, Lisa McManus of Florida, Beth Wills of Traverse City and Christina Klein of Grand Rapids; two stepsons, Chris Pappas of Grand Rapids and Chad Pappas of Houghton Lake; two sisters, Rita Noble of Waterford and Barbara Staniforth of Plymouth; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Christler Funeral Home in Houghton Lake. Funeral services will be held at noon at the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church on Tuesday with Father Edwin Thome officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Hospice of Michigan. F. FAYE WILSON, 66, of Bellaire, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at home. She was born March 3, 1935, in Densmore, Saskatchewan Canada. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Bellaire Community United Methodist Church. Arrangements by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. |
