VIOLET S. BOWMAN, 92, of Frankfort, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at The Maples of Frankfort. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The Oak Grove Cremation Center of Manistee is in charge of funeral arrangements. LILIANE P. WARNER, 59, of Fife Lake, died on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Arrangements will be announced by the Covell-Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley. HUBERT R. DINE, 78, of Kingsley, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001. Arrangements are pending and will be announced by the Covell-Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley. FIFE LAKE - Steve Jezierski, 76, of Fife Lake, passed away on Saturday at Munson Medical Center. Steve was born on June 14, 1925, in Detroit to Stephen and Martha (Wilkowski) Jezierski. Steve was a veteran of the Navy. He married Margaret "Peggy" Wheeler on June 19, 1943, in Detroit. They lived in Detroit until 1974 when Steve retired as a Lieutenant of the Detroit Police Department after 34 years of service. Steve and Peggy moved to Fife Lake where Steve was working as a court officer for Kalkaska County. He was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, past Sergeant At Arms in the Lieutenant and Sergeants Association of the Detroit Police Department. Steve is survived by his wife of 58 years, Peggy; daughters, Donna Marie (Raymond) Borkowski of Sterling Heights and Linda Mae (Terry) Sumpter of Melvindale; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church with Father Jim Holtz officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. |
