TRAVERSE CITY - Ruthann Schweifler, 54, of Traverse City, died on Thursday at Munson Medical Center.
      Born July 23, 1946, in Traverse City, she was the daughter of A.J. and Ruth Georgia (Hartwick) Dillingham, April 4, 1969, in Traverse City, she married George T. Schweifler, who survives.
      Ruthann was a long time Traverse City resident. She was an artist, author, teacher and planner. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She also was a friend to anyone who needed one.
      In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents; three children, Timothy (Amy) Schweifler, Tammy Birman and Tony Schweifler, all of Traverse City; one sister, Patti (Jim Reynolds) Schaap of Traverse City; and two brothers, Jerry Dillingham of Copemish and Philip Dillingham of Colo. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews .
      Friends may call on Monday, 6 to 8 p.m., at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, where services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
      Burial will be in the Robinson Township Cemetery in Ottawa County.
      Memorials may be directed to the Father Fred Foundation or Love Incorporated.
      TRAVERSE CITY - Stanley L. "Butch" Adams, 56, of Traverse City, died on Friday at home.
      Born on April 7, 1944, in Traverse City, he was the son of Stanley E. and Helen (McWethy) Adams. He married the former Paula J. Jankowiak on June 5, 1965 in Traverse City.
      He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Benzie Sportsman Club and Grand Traverse Metis, where he enjoyed historical reenacting, and served for many years as a Scout Master. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War. Butch was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren.
      Butch is survived by his beloved wife Paula J. Adams; son, John S. Adams of Traverse City; two daughters, Amy M. (Chris) Hunt of Ill. and Becky A. Adams of Traverse City; father and stepmother, Stanley E. and Ethel Adams; brother Robert (Carol) Adams of Traverse City; three sisters, Debbie (David) Roosevelt of Traverse City, Marcia (Roger) Dickinson of Bellaire and Cathy (Michael) Foster; . He is also survived by three grandchildren, Brian Adams, Myia Hall, and Joseph Hunt.
      He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Sandifer and his stepfather, Edward Sandifer. He was also preceded in death by his son, Joseph; and his sister, Cheryl Link.
      Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home where a scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Fr. Gerald Micketti serving as celebrant. Burial will take place at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
      Memorial contributions may be directed to Munson Hospice or St. Patrick Catholic Church. Arrangements are being handled by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
