November 23, 2001ObituariesCAROL JEAN WHITE, 59, of Traverse City, and formerly of Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Munson Medical Center.Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, at the Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Homer Nye officiating. Internment will be in the Presbyterian Church's Prayer Garden. Arrangements are being handled by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, Traverse City. Lottie Lagowski Died November 22, 2001 BENZONIA - Lottie Lagowski, age 88, of Benzonia, and formerly of Warren, passed away on Thursday morning, Nov. 22, 2001, at The Maples in Frankfort. Lottie was born in Detroit on Feb. 3, 1913, the daughter of Martin and Frances (Zawodna) Gomolski. On July 6, 1935, Lottie married Sigmund Lagowski. Lottie had been a resident of Benzonia since 1993, moving there from Warren. Lottie is survived by her son, Loren Lagowski of Benzonia; her daughter, Sharon (Bruce) Sander of Traverse City; two grandsons, Jeff and Scott Szpunar; and three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Christopher and Jacob Szpunar. Lottie was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Sigmund, on Jan. 14, 1999; three half sisters and two half brothers. Cremation has taken place, and no services are scheduled at this time. The family was served by the Benzonia Chapel, McElduff Funeral Homes. |
