RAPID CITY Jean Ann Berg, 78, of Elk Lake in Rapid City, died Sunday at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire.was born in Farmington Township on June 5, 1924, the daughter of James and Maureen (Lapham) Fry. She married Don Berg in Detroit on Jan. 20, 1945.was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Elk Rapids, and the John Sackett Chapter of DAR in Redford. She was a Girl Scout leader and loved the outdoors, swimming, gardening and downhill skiing. Jean enjoyed cooking and baking; she learned her baking skills from her grandmother. She attended Wayne State University, where she was a member of the Zeta Chi Alpha sorority.is survived by her husband of 57 years, Don Berg of Elk Lake; and her daughter, Karin (Dave) Harrison of Elk Lake. She will be sadly missed by her many friends, neighbors and sorority sisters.was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Donna Jean in infancy; and her sister, Carolyn Harmon of Traverse City.memorial service will be announced at a later date.contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Elk Rapids, 404 Spruce St., in Elk Rapids.have been entrusted to the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes.
     
      MILLARD L. KOSKI, 66, of Thompsonville, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 24, 2002, at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital.services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28, at 2 p.m. from Eden Bible Church, with Pastor Dan Ingersoll officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.family was assisted by the Benzonia Chapel, McElduff Funeral Homes.
     
      Rachel "Erma" Nichols, 94, of Traverse City, formerly of Flint, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002.was born in Lake Ann on April 20, 1908, the daughter of Ellis and Mary (Edwards) Rayle. She lived in Flint for 40 years, until retiring to Traverse City in 1980.was a homemaker and worked at Rogers Fruit Farm in Beulah. She was a member of Bayview Wesleyan Church.is survived by her daughter, Agnes (Dave) Robertson of Denver; son, Ronald (Margaret) Nichols of Conway, S.C.; six grandchildren, David, Dwight Robertson, Marcia Lauber, Ronald Nichols Jr., Theresa Kessler and Lisa Fowler; and 11 great-grandchildren.services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the spring in Almira Cemetery.have been entrusted to the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes.
