HOUSTON, Texas - Patricia Lynn Meggison-Robinson, 45, of Houston, Texas, passed away, Thursday, June 20, 2002, at home.
      Patricia was born April 21, 1957, in Goodrich, the daughter of Robert and Margie (Conner) Meggison. She had resided in Houston for the past 20 years, where she was employed as a barber for the Piney Point Barber Shop.
      She is survived by her parents, Robert and Margie Meggison of Central Lake; her three sisters, Cheryl Ann (Kevin) Hite, Teresa Elaine VanTine, both of Central Lake, and Joan Lee (Joseph) O'Brian of Sunfield; and many other relatives.
      The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
      Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard McWatters officiating. Interment will be in Southern Cemetery in Central Lake Township.

      TRAVERSE CITY - Homemaker Cecelia M. McCarroll, 79, of Traverse City, died Thursday at Grand Traverse Pavilions.
      Born Nov. 11, 1922, in Ironwood, she was the daughter of Joseph M. and Victoria (Pawlicki) Luczak. On Oct. 17, 1970, in St. Clair Shores, she married Louis C. McCarroll who survives.
      Other survivors include her children, Vicki Lynn (James) Thompson, and Barbara Lesinski all of Mt. Clemens, Janice M. (John) Allen of Detroit; stepchildren, Mary Montgomery and Kitty (Wayne) Cole all of Ionia, and James McCarroll of Three Rivers; brother, Joseph (Dolores) Luczak of Hazel Park; sister, Joan Taylor of Tawas City; six grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
      She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, John Luczak and Edward Luczak; and her sisters, Frances Sitek, Lorretta Sherman, Leone Carlson and Ann Gosinet.
      Graveside services will be held at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens at 10 a.m. Monday, June 24, with the Rev. Father Edward Geitzen officiating.
      Memorial contributions may be directed to charity of one's choice.

      GRAND RAPIDS - Mary "Mae" Moir Penoza, 92, formerly of Traverse City, died Friday, June 21, 2002, in Grand Rapids.
      She was born July 4, 1909, in Motherwell, Scotland, and migrated with her family to Hymera, Ind., in 1915. She moved to Michigan in 1928, to work at Michigan Consolidated Gas in Detroit. In the 1980s she and her late husband, Joseph L. Penoza, moved to the Traverse City area, living on Old Mission Peninsula. They wintered with beloved friends in Englewood, Fla.
      Mae is survived by her son, Robert Moir of Maple City; her stepson, Jack "Bud" Penoza of Kewadin; daughters, Cathy Will and Joan Moir, both of Grand Rapids; and 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
      Along with her husband, Joseph, Mae was preceded in death by her parents, James and Maria Irvine; her brothers, James and John; her sister, Katherine Hurns; and her son, James.
      Her ashes will be interred at a formal service at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at First Congregational Church, 6105 Center St., in Traverse City.
      In honor of her life, memorial contributions may be made to Peninsula Township Fire Department, 13235 Center St., Traverse City, MI 49684, or to the charity of one's choice.

      SUTTONS BAY - Kimberly Jo VanDyke, 44, of Suttons Bay, and formerly of the Detroit Metro area, passed away Friday, June 21, 2002, at Munson Medical Center.
      Kim was born May 19, 1958, in Detroit, the daughter of Joseph and Ann (Gordon) Barnett. She was a quick-witted, smart, beautiful and sensitive woman. Kim loved music and especially enjoyed being with her family. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.
      Kim is survived by her daughter, Heather VanDyke, her husband, David VanDyke; her mother, Ann Barnett; her brother, Mark Barnett, and her sister, Cheri Barnett; as well as many other relatives and friends.
      She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Barnett; and her first husband, Thomas Isler on July 28, 1982.
      Visitation and viewing will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 24, at the R.G.&G.R. Harris Funeral Home of Garden City, 31551 Ford Rd., (734) 425-9200.
      Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church at Five Mile Road in Livonia.
      ELK RAPIDS - Robert Terry Pasineau, 64, of Elk Rapids, passed away Thursday evening, June 20, 2002, at his home.
      Bob was born March 3, 1938, in Detroit to the late Robert and Florence (White) Pasineau. He served his country in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division. On Jan. 21, 1961, Bob married the former Helen Noteware in Dearborn.
      He was employed as an engineering technician with Pontiac Motors in Lapeer for 30 years. Bob and Helen also raised beef cattle on their 160 acre farm while they lived in Lapeer. Upon his retirement 12 years ago, he and Helen moved to Elk Rapids.
      He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elk Rapids. He was also a former member of the Elk Rapids Lions Club and the Elk Rapids Library Board. Bob was an avid snowmobiler.
      Bob is survived by his wife, Helen Pasineau of Elk Rapids, and their children, Marc (Amy) Pasineau of St. Cloud, Wis., and Lisa (Marty) Patterson of Santa Ana, Calif.; his sister, Marilyn (Peter) Yarnevich of Phoenix, Ariz.; and his four grandchildren, Meghan and Michael Pasineau, and Taylor and Lucy Patterson.
      Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elk Rapids, with Evening Prayer at 7 p.m.
      A Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, at the church, with the Rev. Robert J. Zuchowski as celebrant. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Kewadin.
      Arrangements have been entrusted to the Elk Rapids Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes.
      TRAVERSE CITY - David Lee McQueer, 57, of Traverse City, died Friday at Munson Medical Center.
      David was born Dec. 14, 1944, in Traverse City, the son of Florence (Goddard) and Floyd McQueer. On Nov. 27, 1965, David married his high school sweetheart, Lenda L. Burr in Traverse City. From 1964 until 1972, he served with the U.S. Air Force with tours in Vietnam and Thailand, moving back to Traverse City in 1972.
      David was employed locally and enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as rustic camping with his family.
      David is survived by his wife Lenda; his daughters, Pam (Glenn) Chikas, Dawn McQueer, Sheri McQueer and her fiancé Wes Cornwell, all of Traverse City, and Wendy (Jason) Barron of Clio; eight grandchildren, Brandi, Blake, Andrew, Luke, Angel, Kaelyn, Brendan and Tyler, his sisters and brothers, Shirley Zick of Traverse City, Fran (Earl) Schaub of Muskegon, Gin (Bill) Alpers of Traverse City, Don (Bev) McQueer of Kingsley, and Gary (Judy) McQueer of Marine City; mother-in-law, Helen Burr; and many nieces and nephews.
      He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Leonard Burr; and his brothers Ike and Bud McQueer.
      Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at Peninsula Bible Church, 430 Fair Street, Traverse City, with Pastor Phil Douglass officiating. Visitation will take place at the church beginning at 1 p.m. Wednesday until the time of services.
      Memorial contributions may be directed to Peninsula Bible Church Mission Fund.

      TRAVERSE CITY - Wendell L. Wilk, of Traverse City and formerly of Alma, died on June 21 after a wonderful 75 years.
      He was born in Alma and spent most of his life in the area. After graduating from Michigan State University, he was a farmer, and taught science in Shepherd for 31 years. He and his wife, Charlotte, the love of his life, retired to live on a lake near Traverse City.
      He was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature and had a passion for fishing.
      Wendell was a devoted husband for Charlotte, a loving father for Charlyn Vance and Wendell Alan Wilk, a dear father-in-law for Kim Vance and Sue (Smalley) Wilk, a caring grandfather for Aaron and Nicole Vance, and for A.J. and Drew Wilk, and a loyal and dependable friend. He loved, and was loved by, everyone he knew. Wendell Wilk was a truly amazing and remarkable man, who will be missed by his family and friends.
      A celebration of his life will be held at a viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today, at the Lux, Moody, Wolfel Funeral Homes in Alma.
      Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 24, at the funeral home.

      MICHAEL B. BRADY, 75, of Grayling, died Friday, June 21, 2002, at home.
      Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Sorenson Funeral Home, McEvers Chapel.
      A Mass from the Order of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, June 24, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grayling. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

      Memorial services for ROBERT L. SCHAEFER, 76, of Elk Rapids, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27, at the Elk Rapids Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Robert died at his home in Elk Rapids on May 18, 2002.
