SARAH MAY 'SALLY' CONSAUL BRUDER, 83, of Traverse City, formerly of Midland, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Cherry Hill Haven assisted living home in Traverse City.
      Arrangements will be announced by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.
     
      VERNA A. FRITZ, 73, of Manistee, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at home.
      Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The Oak Grove Cremation Center is serving the family.
     
      CHARLOTTE MAE KNIGHT, 80, of Interlochen, formerly of Ridgetop, Tenn., died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
      Services will be held at 2 p.m., today, at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home, Greenbrier, Tenn. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Tenn.

      DELBERT J. 'DEL' WHITNEY, 75, of Traverse City, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at Grand Traverse Pavilions.
      Memorial services are being planned and will be announced by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.
     
      JUNE E. WRIGHT, 84, of Empire and of Hickory Hills, Ill., died Sunday, Nov. 10, at Maple Valley Nursing Home in Maple City.
      Visitation in Illinois will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Zimmerman and Sandeman Funeral Home, Orland Park, Ill., where services from the Order of Eastern Star and White Shrine will be conducted at 6:30 p.m.
      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 14, at Zimmerman and Sandeman Funeral Home. Entombment will take place in Acacia Park Cemetery, Chicago, on Thursday. Arrangements by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, Traverse City.
     
      JUNE V. ZIMMERMAN, 86, of Manistee, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at Tendercare of Manistee.
      Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 14, at Johnson Funeral Home, Manistee. Visitation will be held from noon until time of service on Thursday.
      TRAVERSE CITY - Evelyn Ann Perkin, 91, of Traverse City, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at her home at The Highlander.
      Evelyn was born Feb. 6, 1911, the daughter of William and Ann (Notle) Symons in Champion, Mich. Shortly after, the family moved to Ishpeming, where Evelyn graduated from high school. She then attended Detroit Business University.
      On June 7, 1932, Evelyn married W. Henry Perkin of Detroit, where they lived for 41 years. In June of 1971, they retired and moved to Traverse City.
      In June of 1973, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband and in November of 1974, her mother preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her father and brother, Clyde.
      Evelyn was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
      Survivors include several nieces and nephews in England.
      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with the Rev. Char Minger officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and will continue until the time of service.
      Entombment will take place in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
      Evelyn appreciated Cleo and Joe Cavitch and Cheryl Babcock for the later years of loving care.
      Memorial contributions in Evelyn's memory may be directed to Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
      MARYSVILLE - Elsie J. O'Connor, 86, formerly of Marysville, Mich., died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Porter Hills Health Center in Grand Rapids.
      She was born Aug. 11, 1916, in Traverse City, the third of five children born to William and Mabel Carroll.
      Elsie married Donald Vincent O'Connor on Oct. 18, 1947, in Traverse City. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 2, 1992. She also was preceded in death by a son, Mike O'Connor.
      Elsie is survived by a son, Donald (Brenda) O'Connor of Davisburg; a daughter, Jackie O'Connor of Grand Rapids; four grandchildren, Collen, Mickey, Ryan and Candra; and two sisters, Faye Alpers and Francis (Leo) McCaw.
      Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Marysville Funeral Home.
      Mrs. O'Connor will lie in state at St. Christopher Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13.
      Interment will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Kenockee Cemetery, Emmett.

      KINGSLEY - Esther S. Huffman, 91, died Nov. 6, 2002, in Kingsley.
      Esther was born in September 1911, in Buckley to Bernard (Barney) and Stella (Olszewski) Sarske. She married Thomas 'Herbert' Huffman on April 4, 1933, in Traverse City. A lifelong resident of the Buckley and Kingsley areas, she was a homemaker.
      Esther was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and regularly attended the Kingsley Kingdom Hall.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, Herb, in 1974, and one daughter, Shirley Borders; two brothers, August and Bernard (Barney) Sarske; three sisters, Angeline Deratany, Helen Taylor and Frances Piasecki.
      Esther is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Potter of Traverse City; three brothers, Alex Sarske of Kingsley, John Sarske of Nebraska and Norman Sarske of Roseville, Mich.; two sisters, Sophia Yack of Traverse City and Agnes Deratany of Detroit.
      Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 11, at Covell-Smith Funeral Home with Douglas Wallace officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery in Kingsley.
