JAMES ROBERT STEERE JR., 75, of Grayling, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at Mercy Hospital in Grayling. Visitation will take place today, Dec. 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Sorenson Funeral Home, McEvers Chapel, in Grayling. Funeral services will be held at noon, Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the funeral home, with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Grayling. Vivian Julia Henkel Reichard Died November 24, 2003 SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. - Vivian Julia Henkel Reichard, 87, formerly of Traverse City and Punta Gorda, Fla., died unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 24, in Southern Pines, N.C., her latest place of residence. Vivian was retired from Michigan Mutual Insurance Co. in Traverse City. She loved flowers and to read, walk and swim. Her husband of 63 years, Clifford E. Reichard Jr., preceded her in death on June 23, 2002. Vivian is survived by her son, Steven (Carol) Reichard of Traverse City; her daughter, Nancy (Robert) Watt of Pinehurst, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Todd, Joel, Amy, Megan, Kate, Shawn, Christopher and Heather; and six great-grandchildren, Lauren, Danielle, Jordan, Madison, Brooklyn and Madchen. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Dec. 14 at the Penick Village Chapel in Southern Pines, N.C. Burial will be in Barnum Cemetery in Mayfield, Mich., at a later date. The family asks that if you wish to remember Vivian to please plant a flower or tree in your garden as a memorial to her.
