SCOTT W. BEYETTE, 47, of Boca Raton, Fla., formerly of Frankfort, has died in Florida.
      Arrangements are being handled by the Frankfort Chapel, McElduff Funeral Homes.
     
      LEONETTE JANE JOHNSON, 63, of Rapid City, died on Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at her home.
      Visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at 1 p.m., at the funeral home, with additional visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
      A full obituary will appear in tomorrow's edition of the Record-Eagle.

      FRANCIS 'R. 'BUD' KIBBY, 75, of Frankfort, died on Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at The Maples.
      Memorial services will be held in the spring of 2004, and will be announced by the Frankfort Chapel, McElduff Funeral Homes, which is assisting the family.
     
      TRAVIS MARSHALL, 17, of Bellaire, died on Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.
      A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at 11 a.m., at St. Luke Catholic Church in Bellaire. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, where a wake service will be held at 8 p.m.
     
      EUGENE D. MCCONNELL, 78, of Banks Township, died on Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.
      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at the Bible Baptist Church in Central Lake. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003 at Hastings Funeral Home in Ellsworth.

      KINGSLEY - Ethel C. Nickerson , 90, of Kingsley, died on Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at Munson Medical Center. She was born on May 20, 1913, in Flint, the daughter of John and Alice (Youngless) Ockert. Ethel married Donald Nickerson on Dec. 20, 1932, at St. Mary of Hannah Catholic Church.
      Ethel was a homemaker, and was noted for her baking and sewing.
      Granny is survived by two sons, Lawrence (Alpha) Nickerson of Beulah, and Gerald Allen Nickerson of Culver, Ore.; five daughters, Mary Darlene Dunn of Bend, Ore., Carol White of Kingsley, Sharon Lee Nickerson of Halfway, Ore., Sandra Rae (William) French of La Center, Wash., and Susan Elaine (Keith) McVannell of Bend, Ore.; 10 grandsons and many great-grandchildren; five brothers, Robert (Marjorie) Ockert, Joseph (Mary) Ockert, Gerald (Kathy) Ockert, Ralph (Zita) Ockert, and Frederick (Donna) Ockert; three sisters, Beatrice Weidner, Donaldine (Max) Nickerson, Margaret Lewis, and Betty (Dan) Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
      Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters; two brothers; and her granddaughter.
      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at 11 a.m., from the St. Mary of Hannah Catholic Church, with Rev. James Hayden as celebrant. Visitation will be on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Covell-Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley, where a scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Kingsley.
      Memorial Donations may be given, in her name, to Munson Hospice.
      Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell-Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley.
     
      Died December 18, 2003
      TRAVERSE CITY - Raymond J. DeNoyer, 60, a lifelong resident of Traverse
      City, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at home. Born Oct. 29, 1943, in Traverse City, he was the son of Louis and Barbara (Miller) DeNoyer. On Aug. 8, 1964, at St. Francis Catholic Church, he married the former Judith K. Lewis, who survives.
      Ray graduated from St. Francis High School and attended Northwestern Michigan College, earning his associates degree in drafting.
      He honorably served his country, with the United States Air Force, for four years.
      Ray loved working with his hands and was very talented with carpentry and cabinet making. After his stroke nine years ago, he made a terrific recovery and he could walk and drive, but he was never able to return to his passion of working with wood.
      Ray will be fondly remembered for being supportive of his family, and for his devotion to his wife, children and grandchildren.
      Along with his beloved wife, Judy, Ray is also survived by his four daughters, DeAnne (Brian) Musser of Traverse City, Kimberly (Randall) Meyers of Oklahoma City, Okla., Brenda (Paul) Girolamo of New Hampshire, and Nicole DeNoyer of Traverse City; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Kayla, BreAnne, and Brenton; sisters, Jeanette Swaney, Maxine Norton, and Joyce Chipman, all of Traverse City, and Joanne Lehr of Cedar.
      Ray was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and two sisters.
      Friends may call at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City, on Sunday evening, Dec. 21, 2003, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Fr. Garth Hilmer will be serving as celebrant. Burial will be later in the spring, with a military honor guard, at Oakwood Catholic Diocesan Cemetery.
      In remembrance, memorials may be directed to either the Area Agency on Aging or the American Heart Association.
      The family is being served by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.
     
      TRAVERSE CITY - Florence M. Hays, 77, died on Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at Birchwood Nursing Center. Florence was born in Painsdale, Mich., on Dec. 16, 1926, the daughter of Matt and Katherine Kiviniemi. She married Milton Hays on March 17, 1948, in Traverse City. He preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 2000.
      Working as a Registered Nurse, Florence had been employed by the Traverse City State Hospital for 32 years, retiring in 1981. At the time of her retirement, she was the Director of Nursing.
      Florence enjoyed traveling, but she really enjoyed her family.
      Survivors include her children, Linda M. Scheele of Traverse City, Dawn (Jeffrey) Ameel of Singapore, and George Hays of Traverse City. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Mary Anne) Kiviniemi of Painsdale; and a sister, Mildred Alaniva of Milwaukee.
      In addition to her husband, Florence was preceded in death by her parents.
      In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be planned for June of 2004. Inurnment will take place at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
      Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or The American Cancer Society.
      The family is being served by The Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
     
      GRAWN - Ruxton G. 'Rux' Wisner, 88, of Grawn, died on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at the Grand Traverse Pavilions. Rux was born on Dec. 20, 1914, in Millbrook, the son of George and Edna (Ruxton) Wisner. He married Margaret 'Peggy' Canfield, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his second wife, Mary E. Kane.
      Rux worked at the Traverse City Record-Eagle for over 40 years as a Linotype operator and machinist.
      He was a member of the Eagles Aries 383 Traverse City.
      Rux was a lifelong musician, who played in several country western bands over the years. He also enjoyed playing in the Kitchen Band with the Senior Citizens. Rux liked to fish and woodwork, and he loved his pets.
      Rux is survived by two daughters, Susan Wisner of Traverse City, and Sally (Walter) VanNorsdall of Clovis, Calif.; two sons, William (Vonnie) Kane and Richard (Penny) Kane, both of Traverse City; two grandsons, Bob (Crystal) Wisner of Leadville, Colo., and Scott (Sherry) Kane of Mason, Ohio; three granddaughters, Mary Lou (Rob) Bumgardner, Leslie (Don) Elliot, and Kathy Kane, all of Traverse City; and six great-grandchildren.
      Along with both wives, Rux was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Mark and Ralph Wisner; and two sisters, Lois Foster and Virginia Dush.
      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes, with Rev. Daniel Biteman Jr. officiating. Visitation will take place on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
      Memorial donations may be made, in Rux's name, to the Grand Traverse Pavilions, to be used for the Residents pet fund.
      Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Homes, Traverse City Chapel.
