June 1, 2003ObituariesBETTY JUNE FRANCIS, 64, of Beaver Creek Township, died at home on Saturday, May 31, 2003.Visitation will be Monday, June 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m., at Sorenson Funeral Home, McEvers Chapel, in Grayling. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. WILLIAM ROY MILLER, 74, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Traverse City, died Friday, May 2, 2003, in St. Petersburg. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 16, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Traverse City. Graveside services will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Harbor Springs. CHARLOTTE ROSE STANDER, 85, of Interlochen, passed away on May 2, 2003, in Rochester, Minn. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Traverse City, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. WALKER - Diane E. Hueter, 57, of Walker, formerly of Traverse City and Honor, was struck and killed by an automobile early in the morning of May 23, 2003, while riding her bike to work. Ms. Hueter had been employed for the past several years as a courier driver for the Lakeland Library Cooperative in Walker. Diane was a gifted graphic designer who, for the past 22 years, applied her graphic sensibilities to produce pieced and sewn soft fabric sculpture and quilts. Her fabric pieces were carried by numerous galleries throughout the nation and are included in many private and corporate art collections. Diane is survived by her parents, Paul and Lucille Hueter of Ann Arbor; and four brothers, Bill, Jim, Carl, Martin and their families. Diane's soft smile and gentle presence will be greatly missed by family and friends. Cremation has taken place. CENTRAL LAKE - Kiel was a 2002 graduate of Central Lake High School, where he played soccer and coached the younger students. He was currently attending Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, worked for Eastport Market and for his father in the construction business. Surviving Kiel are his parents, Larmer and Carol of Central Lake; two sisters, Danika Franks of Central Lake and Dawn (Jeff) Helferich of Bellaire; his maternal grandmother, Joyce Stefan of Oscoda; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 3, at the Franks residence, 2910 Rushton Rd., Central Lake.
