Paid Advertisement: In Honor and Memory Of My Brother, Thomas J. Hogan 02/24/1959 - 05/24/2002 God saw he was getting tired, And a cure was not to be, So he wrapped his arms around him, And whispered come with me, With tearful eyes we watched him, And saw him slip away, Although we loved him dearly, We could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. As you look down upon us, Tom, I am sure you are very proud of your three children and our mother. They have taken the situation that was handed to them, and have made the very best of it. They are remarkable children and because of this I am sure you are very proud. Not a day goes by that they do not talk about you and keep memories close in their hearts. I am very grateful for the friends you chose throughout your life. During your illness, they were a tremendous help and comfort for which we will be eternally grateful. I am sure that there are many who we did not thank properly, because there were so many different people involved. I want them all to know how much we appreciated everything that they did, be it a gift of food, a phone call, or just a silent prayer, we want to thank you from the bottom of our family's heart. Many are still around today, especially your friends from St. Francis, and of course, the wonderful group on Silver Lake. They have been very anxious to help Mom with the kids in any way they can. And there is really no way to properly thank them. Life certainly has been different with you gone, but when times get rough, we all think back on the vast amount of memories that you left and cherish them all. May your rest peacefully knowing that you did a great job here on earth.
