Arrangements are pending at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, Traverse City. WILLIAM COE OTWELL, 89, of Traverse City, passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, in Traverse City. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, at Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. A complete obituary will appear in Tuesday's Record-Eagle. CASS CITY - Mildred I. "Midge" Thompson, 92, of Cass City, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe. Midge was born in Birmingham on June 4, 1911, to Oscar and Ethel (Hammontree) Boone. She married Frank Spoor in 1928. He died Feb. 27, 1973. She later married Bruce A. Thompson on June 22, 1933, in Bad Axe, and he preceded her in death April 9, 2001. Mildred was a lifelong member of the Cass City United Methodist Church. Her belief in God was strong and constant. She was a loving wife and mother during her marriage to Bruce Thompson. She worked as a volunteer at Hills and Dales General Hospital and for Meals on Wheels. She had a great sense of humor up to the end. Her family and friends will miss her dearly. Midge is survived by her children, Nada (Ed) Doerr of Caseville, Winona (Al) Farrington of Bitely, Kay (Glen) Cohoon of Romulus and Sharon (Jim) Frantz of Kewadin; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Spoor of Lake Ann; stepchildren, Judy (Jim) Pryor of Adrian and Gregory Thompson of Cass City; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Onalee Goff of Farmington Hills. She was preceded in death by her son, Duane Spoor; brothers, Quentin Boone, Orville Boone, Howard Boone and Harold Boone; and her sister, Ethel Crumb. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Cass City United Methodist Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev. George Ward will officiate. Inurnment will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 7, in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens, Traverse City. Memorials may be made to the Cass City United Methodist Church. Arrangements have been handled by the Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City.
