CICHY, 81, of Manistee, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, at St. Mary's Mercy Medical Center in Grand Rapids.Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee with an evening prayer service at 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Baby ZACKARY SHEA DUGAS, went into the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003 at Munson Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003 at noon. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. GLENN ROBERT GULDNER, JR., 54, of Kingsley, passed away at his home on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003. Memorial services will be held on Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at Redeemer Luthern Church in Interlochen. Memorials may be made to the Linda Guldner Memorial Scholarship Fund. A complete obituary will appear in the Sunday edition of the Record-Eagle. ALICE VANDENBERG, 85, of Ellsworth, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at Boulder Park Terrace Nursing Center. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Belltower Reformed Church with Pastor Jeff Walton officiating. Burial was in Atwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Boulder Park Terrace. TRAVERSE CITY - Thomas John Harman, born March 9, 1951, died Nov. 20, 2003, at age 52. Thomas was the beloved father of Jennifer, Shawn, Stacey, Nicole, Lauren, Robbie and David; grandfather to Maggie, Jack, Lucas and Lily; brother of Cherie, Leslie, Jimmy, Cindy, Jeffrey, Steve and Chrissy as well as uncle to many. Tom also is survived by his love and companion Susie Pierson. Tom was loved by many friends and brought joy and love to all. His smile, kindness, honest eyes and everlasting fun-filled spirit will be greatly missed by all. TRAVERSE CITY - Frederick M. Hart, 79, of Traverse City, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, with his family by his side at Grand Traverse Pavilions, after an extended illness. He was born in Kalkaska on April 17, 1924 to Edward and Minnie (Wescott) Hart. Fred served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and was stationed in Manila. On March 2, 1972, he married his wife Joan (Socha/Deering). He and his wife moved to St. Ignace in 1972, where they owned and operated a couple of small businesses and State Wide Real Estate of St. Ignace. They returned to Traverse City in 1980. In 1986, he received a patent award for his design of the Multi-Angle Pinion Gear Power Transmission from Cone Drive Excello and he retired in 1995 from Cone Drive-Textron as a design engineer. Artistically gifted and a perfectionist, Fred redesigned and remodeled a small log cabin on Long Lake into a beautiful year around home for the couple's retirement. He loved woodworking and drawing and he donated his talents to the various boards of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was a faithful member. An avid fisherman and hunter, he enjoyed his yearly trips to the U.P. to hunt with his friends and family. Vacationing in Florida, a cruise in Hawaii, and a trip to Hong Kong to attend a wedding, were some of the highlights of his life. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Michael) Skanadore of Crossville, Tenn. and Becky (Michael) Williams of Fostoria, Ohio; stepchildren, Linda Enger of Traverse City and James (Aileen) Deering of Tokyo, Japan; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; two half-sisters; and a grandson. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church, where friends may call from noon until the time of the service. Pastor Robert Zagore will be officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1003 S. Maple Street, Traverse City, MI 49684. Arrangements are by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.
