Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, where friends may call on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. JACK JAMES CANFIELD, 71, of Traverse City, former Grand Traverse County sheriff, died Friday evening, Sept. 5, 2003, at Munson Medical Center. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at St. Francis Catholic Church. Visitation will be at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., with a scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Long Lake Township, with full military honors.
