BELLAIRE - Margaret Spikes, beloved mother of Beth (John) McKaig, David (Laura) Spikes and Kathleen (Alison Haskin) Spikes, and grandmother of two cherished grandchildren, Heather McKaig and John McKaig, died on Monday, April 5, 2004, at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Spikes, in 1960. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home in Dearborn. BENTON, Ky. - Walter Thomas McCabe, 80, of Benton, Ky., passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2004, in Calvert City, Ky. Walter was a retired police officer for the State of Michigan. He is survived by his sons, Carl Arthur McCabe of Benton, Ky., and Walter Thomas McCabe Jr. of lonia; cousin, Hal Lockwood of Florida; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arline Riker McCabe; father, Thomas Francis McCabe; and his mother, Lillian Mae Lockwood McCabe. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at Lake Funeral Home in Muir, where visitation will be held from noon until the time of services. Pastor Robert Hays will officiate.
