Arrangements are by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. NEAL C. BURCHFIELD, 75, of Traverse City, died on Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at Munson Medical Center. A complete obituary will appear in a future edition of the Record-Eagle. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes. A memorial service for EUGENE E. RICHARDSON, 80, of Glen Arbor, who died on March 5, 2004, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Glen Lake Community Reformed Church on McFarlane Road. Arrangements were made by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. ROBERT K. ROBINSON, 68, of Traverse City, died on Saturday, April 10, 2004, at his home. Arrangements will be announced by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. DEE V. STEWARD, 89, of Traverse City, formerly of Kalkaska, died on Saturday, April 10, 2004, in Traverse City. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska, where visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Garfield Township Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. JEANNETTE FLORENCE THOMAS, 82, of Cedar, died on Thursday, April 8, 2004, at her home. Graveside services have been held at Clinton Grove Cemetery in Clinton Township. Arrangements were handled by Martinson Funeral Home in Suttons Bay. SOUTH BOARDMAN - Floyd Bogart Jr., of South Boardman, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2004, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. He was born on Dec. 11, 1926, in Crystal, the son of Floyd D. and Frances (Case) Bogart. Floyd moved to South Boardman in 1979, from Minooka, Ill., after retiring from 30 years of service at the G.M. Fisher Body Plant in Willow Springs, Ill. He served in the Navy during WWII, and was a member of the American Legion for over 48 years. He was also a member of Forty and Eight, attending Post 480, and a member of the V.F.W. and the Masons. Floyd is survived by his wife of 55 years, C. Jean (Wertz); sons, Dennis L. (Mary) of Clarkson, George F. (Carol) of Byron, John A. (Robin) of Marion, Ind., and Brian D. (Colleen) of Minooka, Ill.; daughters, Linda J. (Robert) Friant of Minooka, Ill., and Lou Ann (Steve) Haggard of Fenton; 15 grandchildren, Nick (Stephanie), Zack, Cara, Lauren, Kaelyn, Christopher, Rebecca, Jason, Amber, Ryan, Josh, Adam, Matt, Sam and Jacob; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Kate Bunker of Grand Rapids, and Donna English of Lowell. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; four sisters; and grandson, Travis Bogart. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 12, 2004, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Wolfe Funeral Home, 106 S. Cherry Street, Kalkaska. Funeral Services will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2004, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Easten Cemetery in Ionia. Memorial Contributions may be made to ALS Association, or to American Legion Post 480, Kalkaska. Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. TRAVERSE CITY - Diane Mary Brown, 66, of Traverse City, formerly of Midland, died on Friday, April 9, 2004, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Oct. 17, 1937, in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph and Genevieve Szaradowski. On Dec. 26, 1964, in Chicago, she married Robert Brown. A devoted member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mapleton, Diane was also a talented artist, musician, and master gardener. A totally unselfish person, Diane displayed qualities of determination, intelligence and insightfulness. Her wit, tenacious spirit and principles were respected by many. Diane was a beautiful person inside and out. Being in her garden and painting figures and landscapes brought her great enjoyment in life. Her final work of art, completed after years of research, was an icon in the traditional Byzantine style. However, she was most proud of her children and grandchildren. She used the time of her long illness to pray for the needs of others and leaves a legacy of her unique and strong presence. Diane is survived by her husband, Robert; a son, Eric (Hyun-Ju Park) Brown of McLean, Va.; a daughter, Anastasia (Scott) Townsend of Great Falls, Va.; her mother, Genevieve Szaradowski of Chicago; a brother, Michael Szaradowski; and sister, Cynthia Hojnacki, both of Chicago; four grandsons (Alexander, Flynn, Ryan and Aiden); and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Diane was preceded in death by her father; and her sister, Elaine. Visitation will be held at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City on Monday, April 12, 2004, from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mapleton. The Rev. Fr. Edwin Thome will serve as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to the Holy Transfiguration Skete, Society of St. John, HC 1 Box 226, Eagle Harbor, MI 49950.
