DORIS L. BOWKER, 61, of Bellaire, formerly of the Kalamazoo area, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.
Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening, Dec. 20, at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at the Mancelona United Methodist Church.

(Peterman) Burke
Died December 17, 2004
TRAVERSE CITY - Nancy Lee Peterman Burke, 45, of Traverse City, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at Munson Medical Center.
Nancy was born in Traverse City on Jan, 9, 1959, the daughter of Gail O. (McKenzie) and Robert Peterman.
Nancy was an 1976 graduate of St. Francis High School, and attended the University of Michigan, graduating in 1980.
Nancy had been employed as the business manager for Video Preproduction Industry in Ann Arbor for many years. She was an avid outdoor enthusiast, fitness buff and sportswoman, particularly enjoying U of M football games. She was an animal lover.
Nancy will always be remembered as a beautiful, tender and loving individual who loved her family dearly.
Nancy will be missed greatly.
Survivors include her loving companion, Brett Patrick of Traverse City; her mother, Gail Peterman of Traverse City; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Nunzie Peterman of Petoskey; a brother, Greg Peterman of Traverse City; and her sister and brother-in-law, Robin and David Morris of Petoskey. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, Lindsay, Stephen and Michael Morris and Torri, Tian and Tracey Peterman.
Nancy joins her father, who preceded her in death in 1995.
A gathering and time to celebrate Nancy's life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.

Anne Marie Korson
Died December 18, 2004
LAKE LEELANAU - Anne Marie Korson, 83, of Lake Leelanau, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City.
She was born in St. Cloud, Minn., March 30, 1921, the daughter of Hugh Smith and Anna (Olson) Smith. On Oct. 16, 1951, she married John W. Korson in Belle Pointe, Minn.
Anne Marie was the manager of the Leelanau Catholic Credit Union for 30 years. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Chapel parish in Mancelona.
Anne Marie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Luanne (Timothy) Ginard of Clinton Twp., Marylyn (Gary) Schaub of Lake Leelanau; a brother, Maurice Smith of Sauk Rapids, Minn.; two sisters-in-law, Heartha Smith of St. Cloud, Minn., and Dorothy Smith of Sauk Rapids; and her grandchildren, Agnes, Dominic and John Ginardi.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Legatt; and three brothers, Rev. Robert Smith, James Smith and Joseph Smith.
Visitation will take place today, Dec. 20, from 2 to 6 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 21, from 2 to 9 p.m., with a rosary at 7:30 p.m.
Requiem Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Martinson Funeral Home in Suttons Bay, with Rev. Michael McMahon, celebrant. Burial will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Mass intentions.

'Bob' Nicholas
Died December 18, 2004
CADILLAC - Vincent J. "Bob" Nicholas, 74, of Cadillac, died at his home Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004.
He was born in Cadillac Nov. 21, 1930, the son of Bert and Gladys (Hillard) Nicholas. On Aug. 25, 1951, he married Kay Masten in Junction City, Kan.
Bob served his country in Korea from 1951-53.
Bob worked in plumbing and heating for 57 years. He loved and enjoyed working, and took pride in doing good work. He was first employed by the L.J. Deming Co., where he worked on many jobs throughout northern Michigan, including schools, hospitals, Camp Grayling, homes and the Mackinaw Bridge. Later, he was employed by other contractors before starting his own business in 1968, in which he was still working full-time.
He also enjoyed gardening, fishing and traveling.
Bob especially loved his wife of 53 years, his daughters and grandchildren, their husbands and friends, his extended families and many friends. His church and church family were a very important part of his life.
Bob is survived by his wife, Kay Nicholas of Cadillac; daughters, Amy Brief (Robert Tucker) of Midland, Betsy Taylor (Mike Gleason) of Cadillac, Julie Chandler (David McCall) of Cadillac and Jennifer (Dan) Marshall of Cadillac; grandchildren, Nicholas and Jason Brief, Regan and Spencer Taylor, Curtis and Gregory Chandler, and Kaleigh and Alexander Marshall; longtime friends and traveling companions, Barbara and Edward Hallwood of Flushing; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Richard (Cheryl) Masten of Cadillac, Nancy (Lester) Peugh of Manton, Barry Masten of Mesick and Lois Nicholas of Wyoming, Mich.; his aunt, Ardis Bennett of Cadillac; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, LaVerne and Eldon Nicholas.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, Dec. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at First Christian Church in Cadillac, with Rev. Kenneth Pastotnik officiating. Burial will be in Meauwataka Cemetery in Wexford County.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Christian Church Building Fund; envelopes are available at First Christian Church and Peterson Funeral Home.
