March 28, 2004ObituariesVADA WATKINS, 88, of Mancelona, died on Friday, March 26, 2004, at home.The family will receive friends today, March 28, 2004, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2004, also at the funeral home. BUCKLEY - Wanda Famiano Timerman, 61, of Buckley, died on Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, surrounded by her family and love. She was born on June 10, 1942, in Portland, Maine, the daughter of Carmino II and Dorothy Louise (Colpritt) Famiano. Wanda was a Home Health Care provider and was employed by Munson Medical Center. She was a member of the FOE Auxiliary Aerie #383. Wanda enjoyed making Teddy Bears and going to Teddy Bear conventions. She also enjoyed dancing, knitting, sewing, gardening, and going to car shows and fishing with her late husband, Mel. She was a devoted mother who loved her family and grandchildren, and will always be remembered for her sincere laugh. Surviving Wanda are two daughters, Michelle (Patrick) Gainey of Sun Prairie, Wis., and Renee Famiano of Waunakee, Wis.; her son, Douglas (Renee Giannetti) Bostick of Interlochen; five grandsons, Buddy, Tyler, David, Dalton and Max.; seven granddaughters, Nastassia, Cassandra, Suana, Gabrielle, Jenna, Heather and Kelsey; six brothers, Carmino Famiano III, Paul Goodhue, Donny Famiano, Phillip Famiano, Anthony Famiano and Steven Famiano; three sisters, Paula Famiano, Linda Famiano and Lucy Colpritt; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mel Timerman; brother, Danny Famiano; and two nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2004, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Covell Funeral Homes in Traverse City, where a scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 29, 2004, from St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Traverse City, with additional visitation one hour prior to the Mass. Rev. Jerry Miketti will serve as celebrant. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made, in her name, to the Leukemia Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Homes.
