      SANDRA JEAN BIDLE, 62, of Fife Lake, died on Sunday, May 9, 2004, at Mercy Hospital in Grayling.
      A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
      Arrangements are by Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska.

      WILLIAM HENRY KRASEAN, 88, of Manistee, died on Sunday morning, May 9, 2004, at West Shore Medical Center.
      Cremation has taken place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Manistee. A Memorial Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Manistee, with visitation one hour prior to Mass.
      The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Oak Grove Cremation Center in Manistee.

      THOMAS LOW, 91, of Traverse City, died on Saturday, May 8, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor.
      Arrangements are pending by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.

      Graveside committal services for VIOLET L. RICHTER, 92, of Suttons Bay, who died on Jan. 9, 2004, will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Keswich Maple Grove Cemetery.
      Arrangements are by Martinson Funeral Home in Suttons Bay.

      Graveside committal services for ELIZABETH MAY VERSNYDER, 79, of Lake Leelanau, who died on March 7, 2004, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2004, at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lake Leelanau.
      Arrangements are by Martinson Funeral Home in Suttons Bay.
     
      TRAVERSE CITY - Howard A. Kraft, 89, of Traverse City, died on Saturday, May 8, 2004, at Munson Hospice House. Born on March 13, 1915, in Michigan City, Ind., he was the son of Joseph and Caroline 'Carrie' (Baessler) Kraft. On July 19, 1938, in Dewitt, he married the former Lorna B. Andrews, who survives.
      Howard received his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University, where he played basketball for three years and was captain of the team in 1938. He was a member of the Kappa Kappa Kappa scholastic fraternity, and later received his master's degree from Wayne State University.
      Howard was a teacher, coach and athletic director for Redford Union Schools, where he was named Athletic Director of the Year and a field was named after him. He was also inducted into the Michigan High School Coaches Hall of Fame at Central Michigan University.
      Howard was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Redford Township, Michigan Sports Sages, and the Elks.
      His hobbies were gardening, hunting, fishing, bowling and team sports, which included basketball, football, cross-country and baseball. Howard was always an advocate of team sports, and believed in encouraging boys and girls to strengthen their mind, body and moral values.
      Along with his wife, Lorna, Howard is survived by his son, John H. Kraft of Traverse City; and three grandchildren, John Joseph Kraft of Traverse City, Korene A. (Carlos) Avery of Maryland, and Adam A. (Marianne) Kraft of Traverse City.
      He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Martin Kraft; sister, Clara Leeman; and two brothers, Raymond and Marvin Kraft.
      Friends may call on Tuesday, May 11, 2004, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, also at the funeral home. The Rev. Barbara Hoig will officiate.
      In remembrance, memorials may be directed to the Howard A. Kraft Memorial Scholarship Fund, 1263 Lake Drive, Traverse City, MI 49684.

      TRAVERSE CITY - Genevieve Rita Stasinski, 84, of Traverse City, died on Sunday, May 9, 2004, at Munson Hospice House. She was born in Detroit, on Oct. 12, 1919, the daughter of Thomas J. and Sophia (Pastula) Nabozny. On May 28, 1949, in Bay City, Jean married Leonard Stasinski, her husband of 38 years, who preceded her in death in 1987.
      Jean was a homemaker. Before her marriage, she worked at AC Delco and Chevrolet, and later in life, she was a health care provider.
      She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
      Jean enjoyed gardening, growing roses, cooking and baking, and was an avid seamstress. She had a special talent for shorthand, and she loved her cats.
      Jean truly loved her family and grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Leonard Stasinski Jr. and David Stasinski, both of Traverse City; four daughters, Ramona Williams of Traverse City, Monica Stasinski of Traverse City, Susan (Gary) Fineout of Mt. Horeb, Wis., and Lorraine Hamilton of Interlochen; six grandchildren, Noelle Genevieve, Theresa Leslie, Bryan, Jennifer, Michael and Michelle; two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and all of her other siblings.
      Visitation will be held today, May 11, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Covell Funeral Homes in Traverse City. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Traverse City, with additional visitation one hour before the Mass. Rev. Michael Jankowski will serve as celebrant. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery.
      Memorials may be made, in Jean's name, to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or Munson Hospice House.
      Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Homes in Traverse City.

      SEATTLE - Todd Jamieson, 51, of Seattle, died at home on April 29, 2004, after a six-year battle with cancer. He was born on Feb. 12, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio.
      Todd spent many of his summers at his family's home in Leland. For three years, he and his brother, Dan, taught tennis at the Leland Country Club. In 1981, Todd and his wife, Julie, were married at the Leland Methodist Church.
      Todd and Julie spent ten years performing in the theatre in New York City, before settling with their three children in Seattle, where Todd was an active participant in the theatrical community.
      In addition to his wife, Julie, Todd is survived by his three children, Amanda, Harry and Georgia; his parents, Daniel and Marian Jamieson; his sister, Marnie Jamieson; four brothers, Daniel Jr. (Kathleen), David (Susan), Andrew, and Burton (Shelly); and 11 nieces and nephews.
      Todd was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Mercer Island, Wash., where a memorial service was held on May 3, 2004.
      Because Todd was so passionate about directing and teaching young actors, the family requests that donations be given to the Todd Jamieson Scholarship Fund at the Seattle Children's Theatre Drama School, Box 9640, Seattle, WA 9810-0640.

            WILLIAMSBURG - Donald Richard Peterson, 83, of Williamsburg, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 8, 2004. Born in Kalkaska on March 30, 1921, he was the son of Thomas and Pearl (Allen) Peterson. He grew up on a farm, the fourth of eleven children.
      In 1943, Donald joined the Air Force, was made first lieutenant, and served in WWII as the pilot of a B25 in the Flying Tigers division, flying over Burma, China, and India.
      On Dec. 28, 1948, he married Phyllis M. Krumlauf in South Boardman.
      Donald attended Michigan State University on the GI Bill, receiving a certificate in forestry. He then returned to Traverse City and worked at Parsons Corporation, but his greatest interest was in trees.
      In 1959, he and his wife bought a cherry farm north of Bates, and added peach, apricot, plum and apple trees. He brought up his six children on the farm, and taught them to love the outdoors as he did.
      Donald was a kind-hearted, good-natured man, and was adored by his wife, children, family, and friends.
      He will be missed by his wife, Phyllis Peterson; his children, Lynne (Jim) Dodge, Doug (Nancy) Peterson, Dale (Carol) Peterson, Suzette (Scott) Blair, Shellie (Jeff) Smith, and Connie (Terry) Rathbun; his remaining siblings, Wendell Peterson, Doris Way, Allen Krumlauf, and Claribel (Dick) Olsen; his 16 grandchildren; his six great-grandchildren; his wife's siblings; his 45 nieces and nephews; and his many friends and neighbors.
      Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 13, 2004, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2004, at East Bay Calvary Church. The Rev. Dr. Kendale Dennis will officiate. Burial at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens will follow the services.
      The family asks that memorials be directed to the Elm Pavilion at Grand Traverse Pavilions or to Gideon's International.
