Lillian Mae Kimball Anderson
      FIFE LAKE - Lillian Mae Kimball Anderson, 67, died at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004. She was born in Grand Rapids on Jan. 6, 1937, the daughter of Elery and Lorraine (Birgy) Williams.
      Lillian was the owner of Kimball's Market and Beauty Salon and Restaurant. She was a member of the FIA Board, the Kalkaska County American Legion Auxiliary Post #219 and the Baptist Church.
      Lillian is survived by a daughter, Dianna Voice of Fife Lake; a son, Kevin Kimball of Fife Lake; sisters, Mrs. Virginia (Duane) Thomas of Kalkaska and Mrs. Barbara (Dennis) Bridson of Fife Lake; a brother, Rodney Williams of Fife Lake; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
      She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert D. Kimball; her second husband, John A. Anderson; and two brothers in infancy.
      Visitation will take place this evening, Nov. 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Covell-Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley.
      Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the Fife Lake Baptist Church. Burial will be in Fife Lake Cemetery.
      Memorial contributions may be given to the Commission for the Blind or to the American Diabetes Association.
      Arrangements have been entrusted to the Covell-Smith Funeral Home.

Henry C. Schneidewind
      OMENA - Henry C. Schneidewind, 90, of Omena, passed away in his home Friday, Nov. 5, 2004. He was born May 10, 1914, in Detroit.
      Henry was a U.S. Army veteran and later was a speech professor at the University of Detroit for 34 years. He also taught a number of executive development courses, including Dale Carnegie and Sales Training, Inc. He was involved in radio, TV and film as well, as an announcer and narrator and was well-known in Leelanau County as a soloist.
      In 1980 Henry retired to Omena, where he remained active as a theater performer in the Leela-nau Players, Traverse City Civic Players and Lyric Opera of Northern Michigan.
      Henry is survived by his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Nancy Kamp and Lynn DeBoo; and seven grandchildren.
      Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Marie Elizabeth (Read) Kohloff
      BRIGHTON - Marie Elizabeth (Read) Kohloff, 90, of Brighton, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan Hospital following a brief illness.
      She was born July 4, 1914, in Deckerville, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Stopp) Reava. In 1933 she was married to James M. Read in Indiana, and they lived in Manton, Farmington and Traverse City. Mr. Read preceded her in death on June 10, 1983.
      She married Delphos Kohloff in Traverse City in 1992; he preceded her in death in 2004. Mrs. Kohloff then moved to Brighton to be closer to her family.
      Mrs. Kohloff had been a beautician and most importantly a homemaker and enjoyed raising her family. Her family knows that her love and appreciation for nature was the gift she gave them. She loved walking in the woods, gardening and arranging flowers. Her spirituality and love of nature were deeply intertwined.
      Surviving is one daughter, Carol (Chuck) Urquhart of Brighton; two granddaughters, Susan (Robert) Carvey of Colorado and Kimberley (Joseph) Stevens of Traverse City; a grandson, Scott (Elizabeth) Urquhart of Milford; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley, Jordan, Matthew, Stephanie, Jack, Kiley and Shelby; and a sister, Ruth Chavey of Dearborn.
      Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at the Keehn Funeral Home, 706 W. Main, in Brighton, where family will begin receiving friends at 11:30 a.m.
      In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Histiocytosis Association of America in honor of Matthew Urquhart, 72 East Holly Ave., Suite 101, Pitman, NJ 08071, or to the charity of one’s choice.

Geraldine Pamela Hankins
      THOMPSONVILLE - Geraldine Pamela Hankins, 62, of Thompsonville, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
      She was born March 29, 1942, in Hamtramck, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Holden) Nail.
      Geraldine was a resident of Thompsonville since 1994. She was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
      Geraldine is survived by four daughters, Deborah Hankins of Grawn, Lori Hankins of Traverse City, Stacey (Jim) Benoit of Chesterfield, and Peggy (Doug) Hankins-Duynslager of Leonard; four grandchildren, Kayla, Cassie, Ricky and Billy; and her brother, Richard Nail.
      Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, James Stacy Hankins in 1996; and her par-ents.
      Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date.
      The Terwilliger Funeral Home in Kaleva is in charge of arrangements.

LEAH ELIZABETH COLE, 22, of Williamsburg, died Saturday, November 6, 2004, in Grand Rap-ids.
      Visitation will take place on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. Officiating will be Rev. Tim Manzer.

DORIS H. GRAICHEN, 93, of Traverse City, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Cherry Hill Haven in Traverse City.
      Arrangements are pending and will be announced by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, Trav-erse City.

LILLIAN KATRINA MEYERS, 90, of Manistee, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility.
      Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Terwilliger Funeral Home in Kaleva.
      Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kaleva, with Rev. Wayne Buskirk officiating. Interment will follow in the Maple Grove Township Cemetery.

ANGELINE C. REID, 98, of Interlochen, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, in Interlochen.
      Arrangements are pending and will be announced by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funneral Home, Trav-erse City.
