She was the beloved angel daughter of Donald Cole of Elk Rapids and Shawn Burt of Williamsburg. Leah was born on May 5, 1982, in Grand Rapids.
Leah was a special young lady with a sweet and feisty spirit, beautiful red hair and a lovely smile. She will be missed by many who knew her over the years. Each of her years on this earth were a gift treasured by her family and friends.

Leah's parents want to thank all of the wonderful people who provided tender loving care to her during her 22 years, Bill and Mary Catherine Clapp; Leonard and Annette Cole; Seiter Center staff, especially to Marsha McCoy; Leah's sign interpreter, Janell Chutter; Gilead Home; Acme Terrace AFC; and TBA Adult Work Center staff. We also wish to thank the kind staff at DeVos Children's Hospital ICU for helping to make Leah's final hours a time of peaceful transition to glory.
