The family will receive friends this evening, Nov. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the funeral home. JACQUELINE ANN 'JACKIE' POHLMAN, 68, of Traverse City, died Saturday morning, Nov. 13, 2004, at Munson Medical Center. Visitation will take place Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mapleton, with The Rev. Fr. Thome officiating. A complete obituary will appear in the Tuesday edition of the Traverse City Record-Eagle. KENNETH LEO RAKOCZY, 57, of Bear Lake, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at home. A celebration of Kenneth's life will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the new gymnasium at the Bear Lake School. The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Edwards-Oak Funeral Home of Bear Lake. MARTIN E. SILTANEN, 89, a long-time Kaleva resident, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, in Ellicott City, Md. Graveside services for Martin will be held Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at 1 p.m., at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Kaleva, with Pastor Kenneth Lein officiating. The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Edwards-Oak Funeral Home of Bear Lake. BERTRAND WILSON, 86, of Traverse City, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, at Bortz Health Care of Traverse City. Arrangements are pending and will be announced by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, Traverse City. Stanley L. Gould Died November 14, 2004 BELLAIRE - Stanley L. Gould, 94, of Bellaire, died in the early morning of Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, at the Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. Born July 15, 1910, in Marlette, he was the son of Harry W. and Louisa P. (Wood) Gould. In Wayne on Nov. 23, 1939, he was married to Gertrude E. Moers, who survives. Stanley served in the Merchant Marines from 1943-45, seeing much of the world. He retired in 1973 after many years with the Wayne County Road Commission. He enjoyed deer hunting, the outdoors, and especially is garden. He was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church of East Jordan. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Bernice Hickie and Eva Smith; and two brothers, Alton and Robert Gould. Along with his wife of nearly 65 years, Gertrude, he is survived by a son, William of Almont; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Leland of Marlette; three sisters, Vera Day of Imlay City, Edna Hager and Leona Dicks, both of Marlette; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the funeral home, with Rev. Jeffrey Londgren officiating. Memorials may be directed to Area Seniors, Inc., P.O. Johnson Died November 10, 2004 TRAVERSE CITY - Robert G. Johnson, 79, of Traverse City, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Munson Medical Center. Mr. Johnson was born March 9, 1925, in Shelby, the son of Guy and Margurite Johnson. Bob moved to Traverse City in 1939, where he met and married the former Joann Minch, who survives. Bob worked as an electrician, was a charter member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #498 and a life member of the Cherryland VFW Post #2780. In his spare time, Bob loved to golf and fish. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Marsha Groh of Traverse City; brother, Charles Johnson of Alden; and his grandson, Taylor Groh. Per his request, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date. Dora 'Mickie' Kaley Died November 13, 2004 TRAVERSE CITY - Dora "Mickie" Kaley, 79, of Traverse City, died at Munson Medical Center Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cottonwood, Texas, Oct. 20, 1925, the daughter of Richmond and Ora (Coggin) O'Neal. On Sept. 26, 1945, she married Alfred "Al" Kaley, who preceded her in death in 1999. Mickie worked at Traverse City Osteopathic Hospital and the Grand Traverse Medical Care Facility before retirement. She was instrumental in the craft program at the Medical Care. Mickie was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading. She truly loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Mickie is survived by her children, Richard Kaley of Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, Roger (Vicki) Kaley of Traverse City and Cheryl (John) Corpe of Traverse City; four grandchildren, Sean (Brandy) Kaley, Ryan Kaley, Christine (Andrew) Wilcoxen and Andrew Corpe; a sister, Leta Vannoy of Lubbock, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters. Visitation will take place Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the funeral home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. John Ellinger will officiate. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be directed to Central United Methodist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes.
