November 1, 2004ObituariesROBERT GALLATIN, 70, died at his Fife Lake home Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004.Visitation will take place today, Nov. 1, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska. Burial will be in Boardman Township Cemetery. ERMA HURLEY, 46, of Mesick, passed away Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004. A complete obituary will appear in the Tuesday edition of Traverse City Record-Eagle. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Covell-Smith Funeral Home of Kingsley. CURTIS L. SNIDER, 84, of Traverse City, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at Munson Hospice House. Arrangements are pending and will be announced by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, Traverse City. Aileen M. Deal Died October 30, 2004 BELLAIRE - Aileen M. Deal, 90, of Bellaire, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. She was born in Chicago Feb. 28, 1914, the daughter of Thomas and Marcella (Bowman) Crooks. Aileen had resided in Bellaire since January of 2003 and was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. She was also a loving and prayerful companion to the Poor Clare Monastery in Cleveland, Ohio, the Carmelite Monastery in Traverse City, and the Hermits of Bethlehem in Chester, N.J. She is survived by a son, John Deal of Bellaire; a daughter, Patricia Wolford of Algonquin, Ill.; grandchildren, Kathy and Brian; great-grandchildren, David, Mariah and Sarah; cousins, Michael and Janet Hagen and children. She is also survived by Robert and Lucille Griep of Lake Zurich; as well as many faithful and dear friends. Preceding her in death was her husband, John Morgan Deal; a granddaughter, Kimberly; and her parents. Visitation will take place this evening, Nov. 1, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, where a wake service will begin at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church in Bellaire, with the Rt. Rev. Patrick Cooney, Bishop of the Diocese of Gaylord, and Fr. James Gardner, officiating. Entombment will be in All Saints Mausoleum in Des Plaines, Ill. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Cross Hermitage, 3782 Deskin Dr., Bellaire, MI 49615. Lieselotte Kinkel Died October 29, 2004 TUCSON, Ariz. - Lieselotte Kinkel, 73, of Tucson, Ariz., and Elk Rapids, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004. She was born May 6, 1931, in Ellwangen, Germany. Lieselotte was a loving mother and grandmother. She worked as a nurse at University of Michigan Hospital, and volunteered at Northwest Hospital ICU in Tucson, the Golden Goose in Catalina, Ariz., and at Munson Hospital in Traverse City. She loved hiking, gardening, flowers, bird watching, cross country skiing, canoeing and backpacking. She was a member of the Nightingales in Oro Valley, Ariz. Lieselotte is survived by her husband, Arlyn; children, Christa (Steve) Panny, Fred (Debbie) and Paul (Whitney); four grandchildren, Ryan Panny, Kaitlin, Davis and Quinn Kinkel; and her sisters, Christa Reuss, Isle Maas and Johanna Hoegg. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Catalina Lutheran Church, 15855 N. Twin Lakes Dr., in Tucson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Lilo's name to Catalina Lutheran Church, 15855 N. Twin Lakes Dr., Tucson, AZ 85739, or to Casa de la Luz Hospice, 400 W. Magee, Tucson, AZ 85704. Arrangements have been made by Adair Funeral Home, Avalon Chapel, Tucson.
