      JAMES R. GLASSER, 66, of Gaylord, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004.
      Visitation will be today, Oct. 20, 2004, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Nelson Funeral Home in Gaylord. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at 3 p.m., also at the funeral home, with additional visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Gaylord.
      Arrangements are by the Nelson Funeral Home in Gaylord.
      TRAVERSE CITY - Edna G. Rogers, 95, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, in Lakeland, Fla.
      Born March 22, 1909, to Albert and Amelia Zuhl of Benton Harbor, she was the eighth of ten children, now all deceased. She married Lewis B. Rogers on Nov. 17, 1928, and they moved to Traverse City in 1929.
      Edna wintered in Florida for the last 48 years. She and her husband loved to travel and play card games. Her lifetime interests included shuffleboard, gardening and flowers, with the best part of the day always being the time she spent in her flowers. Edna maintained her sense of humor until the end.
      She is survived by her daughter, Ruth (Chuck) Hathaway of Lakeland, Fla.; sons, Jay (Alice) Rogers of Traverse City and Donald (Kathy) Rogers of Bennett, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Edward (Carol) Parker of Las Vegas, N.M., Linda (Peter) Leathersich of Canisteo, N.Y., Wendy Rogers (Bill Behnke) of Kingsley, Anne Tremain of Traverse City, Nancy (George) Powell of Traverse City, Lee Rogers of Chicago and Michael Rogers of Ft. Riley, Kan.; 11 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
      Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis; son, Lewis B. "Sonny" Rogers Jr.; and granddaughter, Roxanne Parker Nichola.
      A memorial service was held in Lakeland, Fla.
      Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at 11 a.m., at the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes.
      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Traverse City Senior Center, 801 E. Front St., Traverse City, MI 49686.
      TRAVERSE CITY - Mareena Lyn Tomei, 6, of Traverse City, passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at Munson Medical Center.
      Mareena was born in Traverse City on Nov. 25, 1997, to John and Brenda (Stachnik) Tomei.
      She is survived by her parents; brother, Logan Kenley Tomei; grandparents, Darwin and Maxine Stachnik of Maple City, Antonio and Marge Tomei of Traverse City and Carolyn and Gary Michel of Traverse City; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, who will all miss her very much.
      Visitation will be held today, Oct. 20, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City. Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home, with Father Bill Lipscomb officiating.
      Memorials may be made in Mareena's name to the Ronald McDonald House.
      Arrangements have been entrusted to the Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City.
      CHANIA, Crete, Greece - Kyriaki "Kiki" Melonas, a long-time resident of the city of Traverse City, died in the city of Chania, Crete, Greece, on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, at the home of her sister, where she had been residing since May of 2004.
      Kiki was born in Greece on April 30, 1916. She came to the United States in 1952, residing in Traverse City, where she married Tom Melonas, and lived here for more than 50 years.
      Kiki enjoyed gardening, sewing and knitting, making gifts to her many friends in Traverse City. She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church in Traverse City.
      She is survived by her two brothers; two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom reside in Greece; as well as many friends in Traverse City.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Melonas; as well as her parents; one brother; and two sisters.
      Funeral arrangements and burial have taken place in Chania, Crete, Greece.
      Memorials in memory of Kiki may be made to the Father Fred Foundation or the Greek Orthodox Church (Mission) of Traverse City.
