LOUIS HENRY KRIEGER, 83, of Manistee, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at Tendercare of Ludington. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at 2 p.m., at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Manistee. Cremation took place at Oak Grove Cemetery with final interment in the Holy Trinity Memorial Garden. The Oak Grove Cremation Center is serving the family. BARBARA J. LOVELAND, 69, of Traverse City, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at home. Arrangements are pending and will be announced by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. HOWARD S. WEBER, 79, of Cedar, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at Munson Medical Center. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. GRACE WHITELOCK, 95, of Traverse City, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at Rosegate Residential Care in Traverse City. Memorial services will be held on Monday, Oct. 25, 2004, at 2 p.m., at Grace Episcopal Church, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. A complete obituary will be in Friday's edition of the Record-Eagle. Arrangements are being handled by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. SUTTONS BAY - Joseph Krzykwa, 68, of Suttons Bay, died Oct. 19, 2004, at Munson Medical Center. Born Sept. 4, 1936, in Grand Rapids , he was the son of Adam and Florence (Paczkowski) Krzykwa. After Joseph graduated from Catholic Central High School in Grand Rapids, he married Connie Porter, who survives, at the St. Alphonse Church in Grand Rapids. Joseph worked as a traffic controller for the city of Grand Rapids until he moved to Suttons Bay in 1994. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf and walking with his dog, Jake. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie; son, Joseph (Lori) Krzykwa of Sault St. Marie; daughter, Robin (Ray) Andrasi of Interlochen; two grandchildren, Julianna and Mei Lee Andrasi; and one sister, Connie (Gasper) Saladino of Grand Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Steve Krzykwa. Friends may call at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home today, Oct. 21, 2004, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at the at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at 11 a.m. Fr. James Hayden will officiate. Memorials may be directed to the Cherryland Humane Society. Arrangements have been made by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. HOUGHTON LAKE - Esther A. Umlor, 73, of Houghton Lake, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, in Grand Rapids. Born Jan. 6, 1931, in Boyne Falls, Esther was the daughter of George and Gustie (Kennedy) Penfold. On June 10, 1950, in Boyne City, she married Harold Umlor. Esther graduated from Boyne City High School in 1949 and lived in Traverse City and Freeland before moving to Houghton Lake 30 years ago. She wintered in Florida for 21 years and enjoyed many friends in both Michigan and Florida. She sold Avon for over 25 years and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Esther is survived by her husband, Harold Umlor of Houghton Lake; son, Steve (Gretchen) Umlor of Texas; daughters, Sandra (Rick) VanAntwerp of Grand Rapids and Deborah Umlor of Grayling; brother, Cleyo (Phyllis) Penfold of Boyne Falls; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Georgia Matz. Visitation will be on Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, from 3 to 6 p.m., at the Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at 11 a.m., at St. John Lutheran Church, with the Rev. William Winter officiating. Burial will be in the Roscommon Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be considered to St. John Lutheran Church. Arrangements are by the Christler Funeral Home in Houghton Lake.
