Obituaries


      EDWARD C. FIOLEK, 85, of Kalkaska, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long Term Care.
      Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Funeral services will be on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home.
     
      BEVERLY JO FOSTER, 41, of Kalkaska, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, in Traverse City.
      Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, at 4 p.m., at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska, with visitation from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Ferndale Cemetery in Riverview.
     
      PATRICIA A. FYAN, 53, of Central Lake, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.
      Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 25, 2004, at 1 p.m., at the Grace Community Church in Central Lake, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of services.
      Arrangements are being made by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
     
      RUSSELL K. "RUSTY" HAMILTON, 39, of Thompsonville, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004.
      Arrangements are by the Benzonia Chapel of McElduff Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
     
      JOHN RODERICK NEAHR, 71, of Buckley, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at Munson Medical Center.
      At his request, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
      Arrangements have been entrusted to the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes.
     
      ERNEST L. WERNICK, 72, of Traverse City, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at his home in Traverse City.
      Friends may call at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home.

      GAYLORD - Mrs. Ruth E. Holston, of Gaylord, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004.
      She is survived by her children, Mark (Suzanne) of Kalkaska and Barbara (Phil) Schipper of Gaylord; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Amanda, Ryan, Brooke and Nathan Schipper and Christi and Mark Holston; great-grandchild, Gage Schipper; and a brother, William (Dorothy) Evans of New Jersey.
      Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 25, 2004, from 4 to 9 p.m., at the Nelson Funeral Home in Gaylord. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at 1 p.m., from the Grace Baptist Church in Gaylord.
      Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Baptist College through the Nelson Funeral Home, PO Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49735.
