Nickolas William Eickenroth
June 2, 1988 - Aug. 10, 2005
KINGSLEY - Our beloved son and brother, we will miss you so much, our hearts are aching and there is no way we could ever express our love for you enough. We have been overcome with waves of grief and pain at your passing, but just this morning, I saw you in the loving arms of Jesus and I know you are finally free to run like the wind.
And could you run! You were like a mighty black stallion, swift and fleet of foot. We were all so proud of you, so enamored of your athletic prowess.
We were so blessed to have known you these last seventeen years, and to watch you become a man. I know we will always remember you and think on you often. We all wish we could have done more, said more, taken a little more time. But we did love you so much, we wanted the best for you. Words will never express our deep longing for you.
Your love for BMX bike racing, your enthusiasm for wake boarding, snow boarding, and even your new-found love of the guitar, you always seemed to embrace life, to look for new challenges, to climb even higher. You taught us many lessons even though you may not have even known about them. Sometimes life can be cruel, harsh, and unfair, but in the end, you win, because the goal has always been eternity with Jesus, not these few short years we have on earth.
"We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again some sunny day...."
Until then, may the Lord keep you in the palm of His hand. We love you, beloved son. Blessed be the Name of the Lord.
"And he said, Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the Name of the Lord." Job 1:21.
