Time passes before us in the blink of an eye.

"Grandpa"
by Barbara Schmuckal
Side by side, in fields we've walked,
      picking rocks or checking crops.
Telling me of years gone by -
Grandpa checked the corn, so high.
His hands still strong from years of toil,
as he bends down to check the soil.
In the sunshine, white hair glistening,
to every story, I'll be listening.
Sparkling eyes, and sudden smiles -
as he surveys the country miles.
With love he takes me by the hand,
to lead us home, across God's land.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Covell-Smith Funeral Home, Kingsley.
