'Safari' to raise funds for hospice

      GAYLORD - Hospice of Michigan is hosting its first snowmobile "safari" to raise funds for area residents in need of hospice services.
      The Saturday snowmobile run has stops in Alpena, Hillman, Atlanta, Lewiston, Vienna and Gaylord. Participants can begin at Stanson's in Alpena or at Mama Leone's in Gaylord, with check-in between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $40 or $70 for snowmobiles with passengers and includes lunch and a T-shirt. Early registration is encouraged and for more information, call (800) 968-9794.
      Hospice of Michigan is a nonprofit program that provides medical, emotional and spiritual care for terminal clients and their family members.
