KEITHA CHURCHILL HEDGECOTH, 78, of San Diego, formerly of Hazel Park, died Jan. 21, 2005, in San Diego. Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, July 9, 2005, at 11 a.m., at Dunsmore Cemetery in Echo Township. Arrangements are being handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. JACK PIERCE, 84, of Gaylord, formerly of Torch Lake, died Saturday, June 4, 2005, in Mesa, Ariz. A Celebration of Life will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, at the First United Methodist Church, 215 S. Center St., in Gaylord. WILLIAM L. RUSHMORE, 73, of Suttons Bay, died Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at Munson Medical Center. A full obituary will be in a later edition of the Record-Eagle. The family is being served by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home of Traverse City. NORRIS M. SANDERS, 81, of Frankfort, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at his home. A private family service will be held. Interment will be in the Crystal Lake Cemetery North. The Frankfort Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Homes and Cremation Service is handling the arrangements. William Edmond Donahue Died July 3, 2005 KEWADIN - William Edmond Donahue, 65, of Kewadin, formerly of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., died at his residence Sunday, July 3, 2005. William was born Jan. 31, 1940, in Detroit, the son of Thomas J. and Agnes M. (Lappin) Donahue. He enjoyed sailing and flying. William is survived by his ex-spouse, Grace Marie (Huetteman) Donahue; son, Bill Donahue; daughter, Deborah Donahue; grandson, Dominic Donahue; brothers, R. Patrick (Barbara) Donahue and John (Martha) Donahue; sister, Mary (Chester) Pilat; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Thomas. A Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Robert J. Zuchowski presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Munson Hospice or Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Elk Rapids Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes. Natalie J. (Otenbaker) O'Niel Died July 3, 2005 SOUTH HAVEN - Natalie J. (Otenbaker) O'Niel, 78, died suddenly in South Haven July 3, 2005. The devoted wife of Philip D. O'Niel Jr. of Beverly Hills, she was truly the love of his life for 58 years. She was the loving mother of Sandra O'Niel of Traverse City, Philip III (Sharon) of Bloomfield Hills, and Gregory (Marian) O'Niel of South Haven; loving grandmother of nine, whom she took great pride in spoiling, Kendra (BJ Whipp) Kearney, Philip, IV and Mallory O'Niel, Alexandra and Deardra Kearney, Jacquelyn, James, and Joseph O'Niel; sister of Joseph (Audrey) and sister in-law of Diane Otenbaker; aunt of David (Debra) Otenbaker, Christopher Otenbaker and Linda (Robert) Boulis; great-aunt of Meghan, Matthew, Michael Otenbaker and Allyn Kelley. Mrs. O'Niel was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Otenbaker. Mrs. O'Niel will be remembered most for her unconditional love and caring for her family, friends and neighbors. She was the First-Mate and guiding wind behind the family's four successful Natalie J. sailboats. "We know she's looking down on all of us from heaven and will continue to guide us." Adria P. Scharmen Died July 4, 2005 FIFE LAKE - Adria P. Scharmen, of Fife Lake, went to heaven July 4, 2005. Born in Indiana on Nov. 10, 1922, she was the daughter of Anna Mae Hoyt and Atlee Doremire. Known for her kindness and generosity, she was a faithful witness of Jesus Christ for more than 60 years. She was the wife of Loy A. Scharmen; mother of four children; grandmother of 10; great-grandmother of 11; a sister and an aunt; and a friend to everyone she knew. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 8, 2005, at 6 p.m., at the Fife Lake Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Fife Lake Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Hope Baptist Christian School or the Fife Lake Baptist Church. Don E. Wilson Jr. Died July 2, 2005 INTERLOCHEN - Don E. Wilson, 23, died Saturday, July 2, 2005, at Munson Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 2, 1981, in Traverse City. Don was a member of the Ottawa and Chippewa Indians Grand Traverse Band. He enjoyed his various hobbies, such as fishing, remote control cars and video games. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends. Donny was known to be very close to his sisters and extensive family. He loved them very dearly, and he will be missed by all of them. Surviving are his mother, Barbara (Koon) Wilson; sisters, Elky Talena Wilson and Tasheena Raye Koon; grandmothers, Joanne Koon and Audrey Koon; niece and nephew, Kobe and Isella Ramirez; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Wilson Sr.; grandfathers, Raymond Koon and James Wilson Sr.; and grandmother, Delores Wilson. He was also preceded in death by several uncles and cousins. Visitation will be today, July 7, 2005, from 5 to 9 p.m., at the Benzonia Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 8, at 3 p.m., also at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom John officiating. Those desiring may make contributions to the family.
