July 20, 2005Extra screenings added for film festival's sold-out showsTRAVERSE CITY - The Traverse City Film Festival has added one additional screening each of its sold-out opening and closing night films."Mad Hot Ballroom," a documentary about children learning to ballroom dance in New York City, was scheduled for one screening on Wednesday night, July 27. "Broken Flowers," which hasn't been released yet and stars Bill Murray, Sharon Stone and Jessica Lange, was set for closing night on Sunday, July 31. "Mad Hot Ballroom" will be repeated July 27 at 10 p.m. at the State Theatre. Ticket-holders to the opening night party at the Opera House, also starting at 10 p.m., still will be able to attend that event, which has been extended to 1 a.m. A second showing of "Broken Flowers" will be at 10 p.m. July 31. Both are at the State Theatre. The $25 ticket price for the opening and closing night screenings holds for the additional showings. Tickets go on sale at 1 p.m. today at Bravo! in downtown Traverse City or through the Interlochen box office, 276-7800 or (800) 681-5920.
