      LOUISE DOBSON, 92, of Traverse City, died Friday, May 27, 2005, at Munson Hospice House.
      Visitation will be held Monday, May 30, 2005, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, at 11 a.m., at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Suttons Bay. A full obituary will be in Monday's edition of the Record-Eagle.

      MARY BONITA SQUIBBS, 48, of Central Lake, formerly of Dearborn, died Thursday, May 26, 2005, at home.
      Funeral services will be held today, May 29, 2005, at 1 p.m., at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
     
      KARL H. STEEG, 72, of Rapid City, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at home.
      Arrangements are pending and a full obituary will be in Monday's edition of the Record-Eagle.
      Arrangements have been entrusted to the Elk Rapids Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes.
     
      MARIAN W. STRAUB, 95, of Traverse City, died Friday, May 20, 2005, at Arbor House, where she had made her home.
      A complete obituary with graveside service information will appear in the Record-Eagle in the near future.

      DOROTHY R. WILDBUR, 87, of Traverse City, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2005, at Grand Traverse Pavilions.

Roland "Bob" Clark
Died May 25, 2005
      SURING - Roland "Bob" Clark, 67, of Suring, died peacefully Wednesday evening, May 25, 2005, at Bellin Hospital following an illness with liver disease. He was born Dec. 25, 1937, in Detroit, to Roland and Dorothy (Dykes) Clark.
      He grew up in Michigan and attended Ohio State University, later serving in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict.
      On Aug. 11, 1968, he married Nancy Herbst, the mother of his two children. Bob was a paramedic-firefighter with the city of Traverse City for over 25 years. On Nov. 2, 2002, he married Charlotte (Siegler) Klimpke at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls; and together they made their home at Kelly Lake.
      Survivors are his wife, Charlotte Clark of Suring; one daughter, Candace (Jesse Martinez) Bell, and her children, Christian Gilman, Elizabeth Bell, Ivy Rose Bell and Alexander Martinez, and a grandchild, which will arrive this summer; one sister, Patricia Garvin of Maple City; four stepsons, Brian (Cheryl Bowers) Klimpke, and his children, Nora and Rane; John (Tammy Bloom) Klimpke and Robert (Michelle) Klimpke, and their son, Tyler, all of Oconto Falls; James Klimpke and fiancee, Monica Jilek, and their children, Benjamin, Kayla, Collin, Logan and Keegan, all of River Falls; special cousin, Gerry Faye Ray of Eldorado, Ariz.; his mother-in-law, Ethel (Edwin) Pasko of Shirley, Ind.; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ez and Jill Siegler of Stoughton; and nieces and nephews.
      He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, James Clark, on Oct. 22, 1993.
      Friends may call at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls after 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2005, until the time of services. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, at the church, with the Rev. Doreen Jeffers and his nephew, Rev. Patrick Siegler officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Oconto Falls.

Norma Lucile Vogel Gilroy
Died May 26, 2005
      BLAINE TOWNSHIP - On Thursday, May 26, 2005, Norma Lucile Vogel Gilroy, having accomplished her days on this beautiful earth, stepped across the threshold into eternity to join her loved ones already in God's kingdom. Norma was born Feb. 6, 1921, in Pontiac, to George and Elsie May (Burwell) Vogel.
      When she was five weeks old, the family moved to Arcadia, and later to Frankfort, where she grew up and graduated from Frankfort High School in 1938. She attended Traverse City State Hospital School of Nursing and the Pontiac Business Institute. She also worked in the War plants during World War II in Pontiac and South Kearney, N.J. In 1979, Norma retired from Bloomfield Township Offices.
      Norma belonged to the Crystal Lake Art Center, Nomads Travel Club, Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association, and attended Elberta United Methodist Church.
      In 1942, she married Robert A. Gilroy of Blaine Township. To this union three children were born and survive her, Marjorie G. (John D.) Fann, Robert W. (Diana) Gilroy and Virginia Jo (Dennis) Tucker. Also surviving are four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a niece; one great-nephew; and several cousins.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents; step-mother, Josephine Vogel; sister, Margie Vogel Whitney; and two nieces.
      Visitation will be Monday, May 30, 2005, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at the Frankfort Chapel of McElduff Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 31, at 11 a.m., at the Elberta United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Greg Culver officiating.
      Memorials contributions may be made to the Elberta United Methodist Church.
      The Frankfort Chapel of McElduff Funeral Homes and Cremation Service is handling the arrangements.
     
Ted F. Hardley
Died May 25, 2005
      TRAVERSE CITY - Ted F. Hardley, 66, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at Munson Hospice House.
      Ted was born in Pontiac to parents, Walter and Virginia (Gaynor) Hardley.
      Ted served as a Michigan State Policeman for 26 years; and was a proud veteran of the United States Army in Munising.
      In Munising, he was active with the school board, serving as president, was a volunteer fireman and built The Wandering Wheels Campground. In Traverse City, he volunteered for the National Cherry Festival for many years and was and avid hunter.
      Surviving Ted are his wife, Vikki; two daughters, Tish (Joe) Chase of Interlochen and Amé Quinn of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, Ross (Dawn) of Moses Lake, Wash.; three grandchildren, Dakota, Jaccob and Alexander; five brothers, Gary, Robert, Merrill, Phillip and Ronald; and one sister, Janet Bullard.
      Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service was held at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Tim Markham officiating.
      Arrangements are by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
     
Michael Allen McIntosh
Died May 25, 2005

      Traverse City - Michael Allen McIntosh has returned home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His faith in God, his quiet courage and his spontaneous sense of humor were with him always, especially during his two year battle with pancreatic cancer. The loving family he leaves behind will forever cherish the time they had with him.
      Michael was born Dec. 13, 1947, in Carson City, to the proud parents of Maxine and Almon McIntosh. After graduating from Freesoil High School, he continued his education at Ferris State University, where he earned a degree, with honors, in Automotive Education.
      For 33 years, he was an instructor of Auto Mechanics and Welding at Northwestern Michigan College. He also taught Driver's Education in the Glen Lake and Traverse City School districts. Due to his ongoing health problems, he retired in 2004. Michael's love of teaching inspired and motivated his students to continue their education and achieve their full potential.
      Michael was a proud member of the Michigan National Guard and was honorably discharged after six years of service.
      As an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, he served as an Usher and a Eucharistic Minister.
      Michael's life was devoted to his true love, Carol, and their family. He was always there to help and support his wife, his children and grandchildren. As a husband and a father, Michael was an inspiration and a constant source of encouragement. His family and friends will always remember him with great pride and joy, and a smile in their hearts.
      Michael's survivors include his wife, Carol; their children, Kevin and Wendy (Runyon) McIntosh, Michele (McIntosh) and Terry VanKleek and Jason McIntosh; his grandchildren, Caleb, Levi, and Elijah VanKleek, and Keenan McIntosh; and his mother, Maxine McIntosh.
      He was preceded in death by his father, Almon McIntosh; his sister, Patty; and father-in-law, Kenneth J. Pruski.
      Michael held a special place in his heart for his Aunt Doris Reid of Ludington; his nieces, nephew and godchildren, Christopher and Melissa Wilsens, Morgan Stabile, and Matthew Mazany; along with many other family members and friends.
      Visitation will take place at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home today, May 29, 2005, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at 11 a.m., at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Father William Lipscomb will officiate.
      Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Patrick Catholic Church Roofing Project, Munson Hospice or NMC Autotech Program.
     
Nadine B. Travis
Died March 15, 2005
      SPRING HILL, Fla. - Nadine B. Travis, 81, of Spring Hill, Fla., died March 15, 2005.
      She was born in Kansas City, Kan., lived in Detroit for 52 years, retired to Spring Hill, Fla. in 1978, and enjoyed summers in Traverse City.
      Nadine is survived by her husband, Miller A. Travis; sister, Frances Reed of Mt. Clemens; children, Michael Travis, Patricia Fitzgerald and Nancy Beaudet Gokee; and four grandchildren.
      Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2005, at 10:30 a.m., at the Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, 9455 Hilton Road, Brighton, MI.
