DAWN M. FARRIS, 79, of Traverse City, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005.
Cremation has taken place.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes.
Raymond Borchman
Died September 27, 2005
TRAVERSE CITY - Raymond Borchman, 86, went to be with his Lord Sept. 27, 2005, at Elmwood Foster Care. Raymond was born May 29, 1919, in Detroit, the son of Mithilda Borchman.
Raymond loved writing, walking, drawing and playing cards. He also enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting his sister and family where he resided.
Survivors include his sister, Ann Pulaski, as well as many nieces, nephews and uncles.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at St. Mary's of Hannah Catholic Church. Burial of cremains will be in St. Mary's of Hannah Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Covell-Smith Funeral Home, Kingsley.
Daniel Joseph
Coughlin Jr.
Died September 28, 2005
SHREVEPORT, La. - Daniel Joseph Coughlin Jr., 51, of Shreveport, La., formerly of Kalkaska, passed away Sept. 28, 2005, in Shreveport.
Born Aug. 12, 1954, in Detroit, he was the son of Daniel and Joyce (Higgins) Coughlin Sr. Daniel graduated from Kalkaska High School in 1972 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Upon retiring after 22 years, he was a Master Sergeant and had spent many years overseas.
He married Janet in 2001 in Louisiana.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Janet Coughlin; his children, Laura (Robert) Newton of South Carolina, Lisa (Cerry) Kane of Madison, Wis., Jim (Erin) Coughlin of Colorado Springs, Colo., and John Coughlin of South Carolina; his parents, Daniel and Joyce Coughlin Sr., of Williamsburg; his siblings, Ken (Joanne) Coughlin of Rapid City, Jim (Diane) Coughlin of Traverse City, Tom Coughlin of Rapid City, Dorothy (Doug) Fauver of Traverse City and Karen (John) Bennett of Williamsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Daniel was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Coughlin in 1981.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, where visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Rev. James Barrand will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery.
Memorials may be given on behalf of Daniel Joseph Coughlin Jr. to St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, 0438 County Road 612 NE, Kalkaska, MI 49646.

Walter E. Reincke
Died September 30, 2005
SUTTONS BAY - Walter Edwin Reincke, 97, of Suttons Bay, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, at Leelanau Memorial Health Center.
He was born in Bingham Township on Feb. 15, 1908, the son of William and Matilda (Sanborn) Reincke. On Nov. 30, 1932, in Bingham Township, he married his loving wife of 72 years, Marjorie Esther Lindley, who survives.
Walter's entire life was spent being active in the Suttons Bay community. He was a Suttons Bay mail carrier for 54 years. Walter started delivering the mail during the horse and cutter era, and saw the transformation to the automobile. He was a lifelong Guernsey dairy farmer and a Rawleigh dealer.
He was a lifelong member and usher of the Keswick United Methodist Church. Walter was a past president of the Suttons Bay School Board. During that time he also worked as a mason tender in the building of the new county garage and the new Suttons Bay high school, which is the current middle school. He was also a member of the Suttons Bay Bingham Township Friendship Center.
This hard working and giving man loved his Tigers baseball and will be remembered as the world's best dad.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; three sons, David (Marj), James (Janice) Reincke, both of Suttons Bay, and Daniel Reincke of Burlington Wis.; a daughter, Catherine Faith Talley of Portage; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Walter was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Clarence; two sisters, Florence and Irma; and a daughter-in-law, Elaine Reincke.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, also at the Martinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery of Keswick.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Suttons Bay Bingham Friendship Center or the Suttons Bay Bingham Fire and Rescue.
Arrangements are with the Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay.
Gertrude
'Trudy' Wroubel
Died September 30, 2005
WILLIAMSBURG - Gertrude Wroubel, 62, passed away peacefully at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City Friday afternoon, Sept. 30, 2005, with her husband by her side after a long battle with myotonic dystrophy.
Trudy was born to Sebastian and Josephine (Fote) Vaina on Oct. 23, 1942, in Hartford, Conn. Hartford is also where she married Carl Wroubel on Sept. 3, 1962.
Trudy was very active with family and friends until two weeks ago, when she was hospitalized due to the effects of her illness. She never lost the will to live, but became too weak to go on.
Trudy was a beautician before retiring and moving full-time to the Traverse City area in 2000. She enjoyed fishing, playing board games, watching her favorite "maize and blue" team, and cooking for her family. Trudy's greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is also survived by her daughters, Theresa (Timothy) Paulczak and Christina (Jonathon) Gelber; her mother; her sister, Sandra and brother, Joseph; as well as her five grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by many friends and family.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. this evening, Monday, Oct. 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elk Rapids, with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m.
Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, with Rev. Robert J. Zuchowski presiding. Interment will take place at Circle Hill Cemetery in Whitewater Township.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The family is being served by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
