Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Johnson Funeral Home in Manistee. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, at 11 a.m., at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manistee. Arrangements are by the Johnson Funeral Home. Died October 10, 2005 WILLIAMSBURG - Kirk D. Costello, 54, of Williamsburg, formerly of New Carlisle, Ind., passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2005. Kirk was born Feb. 3, 1951, in South Bend, Ind., the son of Eugene and Eleanor (Peterson) Costello. He married Barbara A. Petoskey on June 23, 1973, in Dearborn. Kirk was a master electrician who worked for Grand Traverse County for 18 years, and was the owner of KC Electric for 30 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a gaming member, an avid golfer, loved books and was an all-around sportsman. Kirk enjoyed spending time with friends and family, who will miss him very much. Kirk is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, B. Elizabeth Costello; son-in-law, Aron B. Doten; daughter, Nicole M. Costello; daughter, Kerri-Ann Croftchik; son-in-law, Todd A. Croftchik; and Kristine Sue Costello; and grandchildren, Charlotte Ann Drumm and Andrew Scott Croftchik. Kirk was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Costello; and mother-in-law, Margaret (Peggy) Petoskey. Visitation will be held today, Oct. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Covell Funeral Home of Elk Rapids. A funeral will be held Friday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Elk Rapids, with the Rev. Dr. Daniel Herlein officiating. Burial will take place at Springfield Cemetery in Harrisville at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Red Cross. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Covell Funeral Home of Elk Rapids. Died October 10, 2005 CLEARWATER - Grace E. Schroeder, 85, of Traverse City and Clearwater, Fla., passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, in Clearwater, Fla. Grace was born to LeRoy Peter Rothlisberger and Florence (LaDuke) Rothlisberger in Detroit on Dec. 12, 1919. Grace was united in marriage to Glenn H. "Bud" Schroeder on Sept. 1, 1951. In February 1967, they moved to Interlochen, where they owned and operated Bud's Resort Service for 20 years, retiring in 1987. After retirement they moved to Frankfort and lived there 11 years. Grace and Bud spent several winters in Florida. Bud passed away on July 1, 1998. Grace spent her time between Michigan and Florida. Grace loved to cook, bake, sew and fish. She was a member of the Rumpled Quilts Kins Club of Traverse City. She is survived by her sons and grandchildren, son, Dr. Lee L. Schroeder and his son, Jeffery Lee Schroeder of Clearwater, Fla.; son, Noel and his wife, Judy (Urban) Schroeder of Interlochen; and grandchildren, Jason Schroeder and Sarah Schroeder of Interlochen. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to her sewing club or Munson Hospice of Traverse City.
