I managed to take in four films yesterday — no small feat of emotional stamina, considering how intelligent and moving every film has been so far. I've become something of a recluse in recent years when it comes to viewing movies; I prefer the Netflix/living room combo to going out and paying $10 to see a "Poseidon" remake at the theater. It made me forget what an experience it can be to see great films in a darkened theater, to share a moment with an audience and be collectively moved, as a group, by something on screen.
