Hickory Hills season pass to cost more

TRAVERSE CITY — The cost of a season downhill pass to ski the city-owned Hickory Hills Ski Area is going up.

The city commission Monday approved a $10 increase in the cost of an individual seasonal pass and a $25 bump in the cost for a seasonal pass for a family of up to four. The price increase impacts both the rates for the general public and city residents, who are eligible for reduced prices.

An adult now will pay $130 for a "general public” season pass and children 12 and under will pay $110. A seasonal family pass for the general public is now $275. City residents now will pay $110 for adult seasonal passes, $90 for children and $225 for a family.

Daily rates remain the same. The new rates will be in place for the 2006-07 season, scheduled to begin Dec. 22.
