Cadillac sprints to Rodes title

KINGSLEY — Cadillac won five events to finish with 54 points and win the Rodes Relays at Kingsley.

Benzie Central was second (42) followed by Lake City (39), Kingsley (33), St. Francis (26), Harrison (25) and Kalkaska (5).

Frankfort runs away from the field at Icebreaker

Britt Frantz had a hand in four victories to help the host Panthers win the Frankfort Icebreaker.

Frankfort had 126 points. Mason County Eastern was second (95), Elk Rapids third (92) and Glen Lake fourth (86). Buckley and McBain NMC tied for fifth (35).

Frantz won the 100 (13.0) and 200 (27.24) and was on the winning 800 relay (1:52.09) and 400 relay (53.99).

LONG JUMP — Kayla Zuiderveen (NMC) 13'8½”; HIGH JUMP — Tanis Rozeveld (NMC) 5'; DISCUS — Townsend (F) 96'10”; POLE VAULT — Anna Brown (GL) 6'6”; 3200 RELAY — Elk Rapids 10:32.09; 100 HURDLES — Zuiderveen (NMC) 17.74; 1600 — Marissa Treece (GL) 5:02.49; 400 — Tousley (F) 1:03.64; 800 — Treece (GL) 2:18.29; 3200 — Treece (GL) 11:53.12; 1600 RELAY — Glen Lake 4:27.39.

Frankfort, Forest Area tie for first place

It doesn't get any tighter than this in a track meet.

Forest Area and the host Panthers tied for first place at the Frankfort Icebreaker with 123 points. Elk Rapids was a point back with 122 followed by Mason County Eastern (94), Buckley (37) and McBain Northern Michigan Christian (23).

Harrison edges Kalkaska, Kingsley to take title

Harrison finished with 44 points and it was just enough to win Rodes Relays in Kingsley.

Kalkaska was second with (39), Kingsley third (35), Lake City fourth (29), St. Francis fifth (26), Cadillac (23), Benzie Central sixth (19) and TC Central JVs (11).
