Stir boiling water into Jell-O powder in large bowl at least two minutes, until completely dissolved. Stir in ice until melted. Stir in cherry pie filling. Place cake cubes in separate three-quart serving bowl. Spoon gelatin mixture over cake. Refrigerate 15 minutes or until set, but not firm. Put milk into a large bowl and add pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk, one minute. Gently stir in half of whipped topping. Spoon over gelatin mixture in bowl. Refrigerate three hours, until set. Garnish with remaining topping and some cherries.
