• The Elk Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce will conduct a Business After Hours from 5 to 7 p.m. July 19 at Exit Realty of Elk Rapids, 100 River St. The event offers the opportunity to network with other business owners. Chamber members as well as non-members are welcome. Call 264-8202.

Personnel file

• Tony Cutler has been named customer service manager at Fifth Third Bank's Holiday Hills location in Traverse City. He is responsible for overseeing operations, establishing customer relations and maintaining sales goals. Cutler comes to the northern Michigan affiliate from Fifth Third's Chicago affiliate, where he was a relationship manager.

Sara Barton has been named financial center manager at Fifth Third Bank's Eastfield location on Eighth Street in Traverse City. She is responsible for client cultivation and new business development in the Traverse City area. Barton comes to the bank with over six years of financial experience.

Denise Timm has recently been promoted to customer service manager at the bank's Fourteenth Street location in Traverse City. She will be responsible for running daily operation of the financial center. Maintaining existing customer relationships will be a part of her job, as well as the development of new customer relationships. Previously, Timm was a senior administrative assistant in the Investment Advisors Division.

Kristy Bremmer has recently joined Fifth Third Bank as a customer service manager at the Downtown Traverse City location. She is responsible for establishing new and maintaining existing customer relationships and running daily operations at the financial center. Bremmer has been in the financial industry for over seven years, most recently working in the Defense Finance and Accounting Services Department of the United States Government.

Amber Bingham has joined Fifth Third Bank as a customer service manager at the Suttons Bay location. She is responsible for establishing new and maintaining existing customer relationships. She will also oversee the daily operations at the financial center. Bingham has over seven years of experience in the industry.

• Mark Polack has recently been promoted to banking office manager of Huntington's Empire office. He replaces Sherry Schmalenberg who recently retired.

Polack joined Huntington in 1993 and has served as personal banker at the Empire office for the past several years. His new duties include staff management, consumer relations and business development within the lines of business of investments, insurance, deposits and lending.
