Dr. Craig Fountain, oral and maxillofacial surgeon, recently obtained diplomate status from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Fountain practices at Grand Traverse Oral Surgery performing dental extractions, facial trauma, dental implants, jaw joint surgery and facial reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Eduardo Barlan, a member of West Shore Medical Center's staff since 1978, successfully completed the requirements for recertification in surgery by the American Board of Surgery. A specialist in general/peripheral vascular surgery, his practice is located in the Northwest Michigan Health Center at 1293 East Parkdale Avenue in Manistee.

Throughout the years, Barlan has played a key role at West Shore Medical Center, including serving as chief of medical staff, board of trustees member, and section chief of surgery. He has also provided his expertise on numerous West Shore Medical Center committees.

Dr. Drew V. Collins, an ear, nose and throat specialist, recently joined the staff at Munson Medical Center.

Collins performed an internship in general surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit where he also completed his residency in Otolaryngology. He currently is accepting new patients at Cass Street ENT Associates P.C., 1104 Cass St. in Traverse City and can be reached at 946-2214.
